Can I ask everyone to please, please be careful when using a strimmer. I had a call from a neighbour yesterday after he found an injured hedgehog in his garden. What I found was a beautiful, otherwise healthy little hedgehog with the most horrific head/facial injuries consistent with being caught with a strimmer. I took him to the amazing guys at South Essex wildlife Hospital where Tom euthanised him immediately, peacefully ending his suffering. So lucky that Jon found him and realised he was injured. This saved the poor soul from many days of further suffering. I’d be grateful if you wouldn’t mind sharing the below pic on your fb feeds 🫶🏻
