Grainfree chicken and sweetcorn dog food
due to stomach issues our 3 dogs need grain free. This is an excellent food no problems and it keeps them well and healthy and the delivery service is excellent 👌

Awesome cat food 5/5 (Grain Free Salmon cat food)
This cat food is brilliant, my cat loves it! He digestion is much improved, her coat is looking thick and glossy and she's more active and playful than she's been for ages. Will definitely be continuing to feed her on this.

My dog loves this food, she’s small and didn’t get on well with other brands as the biscuits were too big. These are the perfect size and she loves all the flavours. I’ve been buying this brand since my dog was 1, She’s just turned 15yrs old :)

great dog food 5/5 (Working Dog Chicken Dinner 15kg)
my german shepherds have been om this food for sometime now and really look good on it and love it. tried various feeds before but they all upset there stomachs no such problem with this one. i would definitely recommend it for working dogs.

Some good news on the flea treatment disposal. Our local vets4pets practice has responded to say they will take in unused/out of date products for safe disposal via their appointed chemical and pharmaceutical waste company.

Further to my research with Bob Martin about safe disposal of their products. In particular now with regard to their flea spot on treatments ( and I assume any other companies using Fipronil as an ingredient).
Their advice for disposal of the product is, (as previously reported) to follow local council guidelines. Our local councils said to take back to a vets which is fine if you got them from a vets, second to that was to take to a chemist, our local Boots chemist did not want them.
I went back to Bob Martin whose response was to put unused product into landfill or return to them via freepost. I have asked them how they would then dispose of it ( awaiting reply). The problem is their own instruction sheet in the treatment box says Fipronil must not be allowed in to ditches, ponds or waterways.
When fluids run out of landfill where do they go, I think you know the answer to that.

I am going to write to our MP to get his thoughts on this matter, I will also now contact other companies who use fipronil to see what they say about safe disposal of their products.

A while ago I wrote about safe disposal of dog and cat flea and wormer treatments and that they should not be flushed or sent to landfill in your bin collections.
I said the council had advised taking them to a vet but they might refuse them if not purchased from them. I was also advised you could take them to a chemist for disposal. Well Boots , our local chemist, has just looked at me gone out and refused them! So I am awaiting an answer from the manufacturer as to how to safely dispose of their products. I will report back as soon as I get an answer.
These chemicals going into our water courses are a big problem.

Pet medication safe disposal.

Please do not flush or bin any unused or out of date pet medications. In regards to flea and worming products, ( tablets or spot on liquids), they contain chemicals that are highly toxic to fish. Knowing how our water companies like to discharge sewage into our rivers it means there’s chemical can easily end up there. When binned they will end up in landfill and again leach out into rivers and streams.
The manufactures themselves pass the buck by just saying “dispose of in line with your local regulations”.
It takes a while to find the correct local regulations but Leicester council waste management say to take them to your vets, however some vets may not want products not purchased from them in which case they should be taken to a pharmacy who will (should) dispose of them.
The same advice also goes for human medications even down to off the shelf painkillers etc as again these do not need to be in our watercourses.
