Training with Farah We offer group classes, 1-2-1's, workshops and we're here to help with any behavioural problems usin here we work on issues your having with your dog.

At Elite K9s we use only kind fair and fun training techniques, we do NOT use prong/pinch collars, check/choke collars, E-collars (electric shock) on your dogs. we use reward based training only, as we find this is the most effective way to train any dog. I have worked as a security and drug dog handler as well as trainer, I was trained by Greater Manchester Police and licensed with them with my D

rug Detection dog (whom I trained up from scratch) . I have trained and helped to train, security and Personal protection dogs, this doesn't just mean teaching a dog to "attack" it means teaching a VERY high level of obedience work, search work (both for humans and articles), agility (not the sort you see at crufts) scaling walls of 7 foot, jumping ditches of the same length ect, bite work, the list is endless. We want our dogs to enjoy this job so we use treats and toys to help with this. I have also helped to train many pet dogs, with problems and with out. I help out a lot with rescue dogs by evaluating and training dogs for the RSPCA, I also help with re-homing dogs where I can. I own a couple of rescue dogs myself who now have the amazing job of being stooge dogs. Stooge dogs help to rehabilitate other peoples dogs who may be dog reactive for example. we use our stooge dogs in every aspect of our training to both help the owners and their dogs. I have vets in this area refer clients to me, this is usually their last chance as owners have tried everything else. But we know we can help you what ever issue you have as we have seen it all before. and with our gentle approach to training your dog will enjoying himself again in no time, as will you! We strongly believe their are NO bad dogs/breeds, and that we are training the owner not the dog. if we can give you the skills to help your dog cope in every situation we are on to a winner. we make training both fun for you and your dog and keep everything laid back we are not the old style smash and crash trainers, if you dog gets it wrong just laugh it off and try again. we offer training to suite you so its always best to get in touch to see what we can offer. One-2-One training where we come to you and work on specific issues such as lead pulling, recall issues ect. Group classes- either held at newton village hall, the course is a six week course were you and your dog start off in the elementary class, then work up to our advanced class, learning things from heel free ( heel work with out a lead) to recalls with distractions, timed waits and send aways. we also run group classes for friends who may want to meet up and do some training in an outdoor space. Meet Sid

Sid originally came to me with severe reactivity, no recall around distractions of dogs, and a habit of completely tuning out his owners. Everyday situations felt overwhelming for him, especially around other dogs.

What looked like aggression was actually frustration. Sid loves other dogs it’s all he’s ever known so when he couldn’t go and play, that frustration boiled over into explosive behaviour. This also meant his recall disappeared around distractions, and he’d lunge, jump, and grab at people in excitement when saying hello.

We made some progress with his reactivity early on, but we knew my 5-day training program would give him and his owners that extra boost.

Fast forward to Day 4…
Sid is now making the right choices on his own. No prompts needed. His recall is consistent, his reactions have dramatically reduced, and those explosive behaviours are fading away.

One key change? His equipment.
Some gear can actually add to a dog’s frustration and make it harder for them to regulate — switching this made a huge difference in helping Sid stay calm and responsive.
