Now offering *Residential Training*😁

And boarding (clients only!)

What is residential training?
Residential training is where I keep your dog for a minimum of 2 weeks, they’ll have targeted training sessions on the behaviours you need help with daily, as well as some lovely walks to practice what they’ve learned, and to decompress and have time to ā€œbe a dogā€!

Does residential training work?
The simple answer is yes! Being under the direct supervision of a professional 24/7 for 2+ weeks means all of those lessons are the right ones, so your dog will begin to learn new habits that’ll last with consistency!

The longer answer, it dependsšŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø. The crucial moment for a dog after a residential stay is the moment they go home! Your dog will have received a full reset with their stay, so if they go home and no structure or boundaries are up-kept, those new behaviours will fade very quickly. But luckily, after a residential stay you will receive a full, in depth handover where I explain everything! This includes an in depth training plan, and a plan for the transition back into home life, a detailed in person handover, this may take place over the course of a few days depending on how long your dog has stayed for, and how many different behaviours we have been working on!

What is residential training suitable for?
Anything really! Whether you’d just like some obedience sharpening up, a crash course on recall and/or lead manners, e-collar conditioning for that super bomb proof off lead reliability, reactivity, puppy training and so much more!

How long is a residential stay?
The minimum stay is 2 weeks, the maximum stay is 8 weeks. The recommended length of the stay varies massively depending on what you’d like to work on!
-
This service is designed to include you every step of the way, I’ll just be doing the hard work for you! At the initial meet and greet, we’ll discuss what your goals are and what’s achievable for the length of the stay. You’ll receive an update every day with what they’ve been up to and how the training is going. It’s normal for some days to be more exciting than others, real dog training is boring and repetitive! And sometimes we need to take a step back to move forward. I want to make sure the training sticks as much as you do, which is why it’s so important to ask any questions when they come up, or if you’re unsure of anything! The handover may be the most important part of a residential, it’s important I see you handling your dog to make sure you’re comfortable with all the changes and everything you’ll need to do going forward!

You will receive 2 free private lessons, a discount on future private lessons and lifetime support!

I will always check in when your dog has come home, I want to know how you’re getting on and if you have any questions or concerns. After putting so much effort into training and looking after your dog, I care more than you know!

While I’m still enjoying some time off, I’m just popping a quick post up to advertise space for group walks!

I have space for Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. I only currently run group walks every other Wednesday, but I would consider changing to every Wednesday.

I’m trying to keep it to 1 group walk a day, so I can focus on training clients! Dogs not suitable for group walks will be placed on solo walks :)

I have limited space available for private lessons this month, and availability for the day train programme from the end of this month into May. From June onwards I will be changing to residential training (board & train), so the day train programme I will no longer offer as a service unless I don’t think a dog is suitable for residential training.

I’m working on getting a new website up, so all the new details will be put on there, but as always if you’d like any more info feel free to pop me a message :)

Albus🐾

I had Albus for an initial assessment last week, and he’s definitely made me want another GoldiešŸ˜†

He came in to work on lead manners, as he’s dragging his owners everywhere, and gets very excited around dogs.

We worked on lead pressure, markers, ways to build more engagement, lead manners and we’re going to start conditioning a new response to dogs when he’s got the foundations down🄳

Basil🐾

Basil was in for an initial assessment the other day, he’s a nervous boy who isn’t so sure of the world yet. But his owners have put some amazing work into him in the 2 months they’ve had him and there’s only a couple things that need a bit of tweaking!

He is joining me for a couple training walks a month to help build his confidence up that bit more, and I’m sooo excited to work with him!

The baby

Officially no longer photographing puppies... The cuteness is too much to cope with!

Here's a very quick spoiler before I'm off out again, seeing more amazing dogs!🄰

Clive you are absolutely beautiful and adorable ā¤ļø
This photo is just the tip of the iceberg, some amazing photos of this gorgeous boy 🄰

Todays lovely boy was Marley, such a beautiful boy!
Very big, daft and boisterous (like most labs!) but his training with CVC K9 is fabulous!

He was happy to pose and we got some lovely shots of him and a few family photos
