☀️🐾 EXTREME HEAT WARNING 🐾☀️
We hate making posts like this, but as always, your dog’s safety comes first. ❤️
With temperatures set to soar next week, we want to urge all pet owners to think twice before taking their dogs out for walks. No walk is worth risking your dog’s health or life.
One of the hardest things about heatstroke is that our dogs can’t tell us when they’re getting too hot. By the time they start showing signs, they may already be struggling. While some breeds cope slightly better than others, the reality is that dogs are not designed to handle extreme temperatures in the UK, and every dog can be affected by the heat.
As owners, it’s our responsibility to help keep them safe, cool, and comfortable. Plenty of fresh water, access to shade, enrichment at home, and keeping activity levels low during the hottest parts of the day can make all the difference. 🧊💦
🚫 Because of the forecast temperatures, there will be NO dog walks next week.
✅ All walks will be switched to drop-in visits instead, where we’ll make sure your pups have a toilet break, fresh water, plenty of fuss, and are comfortable at home.
✅ Any training sessions booked for next week will either be rescheduled or moved to an online training call where possible.
We know many dogs love their walks, but missing a few days of exercise is far better than risking heat exhaustion or heatstroke. A bored dog can recover from a quiet week. A dog suffering from heatstroke may not.
