Huge welcome Hattie 🐶🤎

Hattie has been enjoying our doggy day care service Monday - Thursdays, and has been enjoying meeting lots of new friends.

She loves nothing more than being picked up by our team in a morning and staying out with us for 2-4 group walks a day!

Her mumma tells us she is super tired when she’s home from having so much fun and playing with all her pawfriends!

🎓 Congratulations Amber 🎓

On Friday our amazing teamie Amber graduated from her degree in science in animal management and zoo management!

We honestly couldn’t all be more proud of you, it’s so clear to see that you are meant to work with animals, every dog, cat, rabbit (the list goes on) adore you, you are a total natural when it comes to looking after animals.

Not only do you work extremely hard everyday with Waggy tails but you have worked so flippin hard to achieve your degree! One down and one to go!

📣 We are extremely excited to announce a brand new service coming to Waggy Tails 📣

Those of you that know us, know that for the last, almost 3 years, we have only offered solo walks for our pooches 🐶

This has given us a huge amount of experience and passion for dogs who really need that 1-1 care, whether that’s due to reactivity, anxiety, or simply love that personal touch, and this will never change.
We are very proud of the work and experience gained, especially with dogs who are dog or human reactive and seeing their progress go from this, to being non reactive due to the work and training we put in makes us very proud of our team and our doggy tribe.

But……

Recently we have seen a huge influx in clients approaching us for group walks, and after lengthy discussions with the team we thought why not offer both! 🐾

Over the last few weeks we have offered a select few selected clients our new ‘Adventure Walks’ package and it’s been a huge success 🫶🏼

We can now offer two different packages

1. Waggy Tails Solo walks - for our reactive, not so social dogs, or for clients who love their dogs get that 1-1 care 🧡

2. Waggy Tails Adventure walks - for those high energy dogs who love to be part of a pack ⛰️

So whatever your needs, be rest assured we have an amazing team on hand to give you and your dog exactly what they need!

When Busby came to stay!

This weekend we had the pleasure of having Busby aka Buzz come and stay with our boarder Rachael!

She was such a good girl, who had loads of fun on her group adventure walks and made herself at home with Racha and her dogs.

Huge welcome Ernie!

We get asked a lot if we take on reactive dogs and the answer is YES! If truth be told we love dogs who might be that little bit more challenging! We love nothing more than to see the progress of a dog who isn’t fond of us at the beginning because they are human reactive to absolutely loving us come to visit!

And this was definitely the case with Ernie!

On our first visit Ernie had to be kept on the lead due to his human reactivity, he was not happy about us being in the house and even more so on a little walk round his streets. We had to keep our distance.

But that did not mean we would let him down and say no to giving him a chance of being walked whilst his owners were at work.

So we put steps in place, working with the client on gaining Ernies trust. We ALWAYS went at his pace and never tried to do too much too soon.

Caitlin our amazing walker put her training into place and Ernie very quickly turned a corner. At first it was just taking treats off her, which then moved to sitting with her and having fuss, to then being able to walk out together with the client!

And now Caitlin looks forward to her walks with Ernie twice a week, he greets her with huge excitement and our client has even noticed a difference in his behaviour. His reactivity on walks has improved and he generally seems so much calmer!

Ernie you have done amazing, and for us it’s times like this that makes us feel very proud to do what we do!

Lexie 💛

Today’s post is a bit of a mixed emotions post.

Whilst we are over the moon to welcome Lexie to our Waggy Tails Family we are also sad to hear atm she’s struggling with hip displacement amongst a few other things and is in pain and struggling with mobility.

So even though at the start we began with gentle walks, we have made a decision with our client to just do home visits with cuddles, and garden visits until Lexie is feeling better and she has a recovery plan in place ❤️‍🩹

And even though this hasn’t been the easiest of times for Lexie and her owners we do feel so extremely blessed to have Lexie with us and we can’t wait for Lexie to be back to her usual, bouncy, adorable self 🤗

Today is a double celebration! 🥳

Today we want to wish the beautiful Betty a very happy 1st birthday and also a huge welcome to our Waggy Tails family!

Betty was very unsure of us at first, being a rescue meant she was, of course, dubious of us at first but taking things in her stride with lots of reassurance, praise and of course cuddles (when Betty was ready) we have made amazing progress and she now absolutely loves us coming to visit and taking her out on adventures in the big world!

And it’s also her first birthday today, so from all of us at Waggy Tails, we want to wish you the bestest of birthdays filled with walks, cuddles, sniffs and playtime 🐾

Meet Vada! The gawgus Saluki cross 🖤

Vada is still a puppy so atm we are just doing 30 mins puppy visits with her, this is where we let them in the garden, feed them, play and of course lots of cuddles and tummy tickets 🥰

We’ve loved our visits so far with Vada and we can’t wait to start our adventures with her in the big wide world shortly!
