Canine First Aid trained. Please message me for more information, or any other enquiries. Most of my experience involves caring for; rats, gerbils, hamsters, cats & dogs, however due to my studies, I also have limited knowledge and understanding of the care of other animals and exotics including; mice, guinea pigs, rabbits, reptiles, amphibians, birds, he

dgehogs, chinchillas, ferrets, sugar gliders and fish. If you provide me detailed instructions, I will look after any animal with the utmost care and compassion.

*Disclaimer*:
I will not provide care for aggressive or unsocial animals. You must take full responsibility if your animal harms me or a member of the public while in my care. If your pet should require urgent veterinary attention while in my care, I will contact you immediately. (I will provide a veterinary release form that you must sign to say you give me permission to take your pet to the vets, if necessary, and that you will pay the full fees). You must make your veterinarian aware of these arrangements prior to your absence. If food, cleaning products, and other required supplies are not provided, I will expect full compensation for supplies I provide for your pets. In cases of free-roaming your pets, you must provide a safe and secure area suitable for free-roaming your animals. I will offer recommendations if I believe the care of your pet and their quality of life could be improved. I hold the right to terminate care without warning, should I believe to be in danger or the conditions are unsavory. I hold the right to contact the appropriate authorities should I believe an animal's living conditions are not adequate or their care is not up to standard.

*Important Update for Sashaโ€™s Creature Care 2024*

As usual, 2023 has had its highs and lows for all of us. Sadly the lows have outweighed the highs for me this year.

My Health:
The past few years I have been suffering with undiagnosed health problems that were affecting my ability to work. At the beginning of 2023 I had to severely reduce my hours, especially when it came to dog walking, as my knees have been most affected this year.

In October I was finally diagnosed with Fibromyalgia- a widespread chronic pain disorder. Though I am gutted to have a diagnosis which means I can no longer keep up with the demands of pet care, I am hopeful that with the new knowledge of a diagnosis, I may be able to continue less intense work as I begin to understand my own physical limits.

Service area change:
The area of service I have been operating in so far has consisted of Burgess Hill, Haywardโ€™s Heath, Hassocks and Hurstpierpoint. In 2024, I will be spending more time in Barnham, especially during half-term and holiday periods, as I will be attending re-enactment events at Arundel castle, and trading some home-made wooden crafts at certain craft markets around Sussex. During this time, I will be offering my services in and around Barnham. (More info below)

What does this mean for Sashaโ€™s Creature Care?
I fully intend to keep offering my pop-in and pet sitting services; however I will no longer be able to offer dog walking as part of my general services.

There may be times where I am able to offer a short walk for certain dogs, as part of a longer pet care visit, depending on their strength and temperament.

There is also the option to have your dog walked at one of the available secure dog walking fields in the area; as this would reduce the strain on my joints, but still allow your dog to get the full hour of exercise I used to be able to offer. These spaces are very limited, so it would be subject to availability.

I will still be operating in Burgess Hill and surrounding areas, however this area will be extended to Barnham and surrounding areas while I am operating from there. I will be posting on local Facebook groups advertising my availability at certain times of the year.

If you have any queries regarding my availability in your area for certain dates, please give me a message and I would be happy to inform you!
Your patience is appreciated during this transitional time.

Lastly, cheers to 2024!

I always clip your dogs into the backseat of my car when driving with them. Iโ€™m planning to upgrade to a van so I can have crates safely in the back!

You wear a seatbelt, so should your dog!

A lot of people donโ€™t realise that you shouldnโ€™t keep rabbits (and guinea pigs) in a hutch or small cage. Unfortunately most of the โ€œrabbit safeโ€ supplies in pet stores are not at all suitable for rabbits!
Please please do your research (not just asking a pet store worker!) before considering getting a pet. A rabbit may not be suited to your lifestyle.

You do not need a pet, pets are a privilege.
