Potential edit - number 7 might need to be adjusted next week however our CockerBull has no political affiliation and will not be voting despite the fact she's approaching 35 (dog years) and believes passionately that squirrel hunting should become a national sport....

It’s hot out there and I’m in a bloody fur coat. Remember to keep me cool, particularly if I’m staying at home while you’re swanning around, eating ice pops in an air conditioned office. Bella’s top tips:

1. Soak a tea towel and freeze it. You can drape it on my back (not a cool look but a great feeling) or I can lie on it

2. Freeze some carrots and give them to me instead of my normal chew

3. Walk me early doors or in the evening when the sun has gone

4. Get me a paddling pool - the plastic shell ones they sell for human baby sandpits are great as I can’t burst them with my claws

5. Make sure I have plenty of water - put extra bowls around the place so I don’t have to hunt for it when I’m feeling lethargic

6. Put a cooling pad on my bed before I go to sleep.

7. Set the sprinkler up in the shade (before Rishi brings in a hoze pipe ban)

8. Rub my belly (nothing to do with the heat - just reminding you that I like it)

9. Love me more than my sister - I should be your favourite

10. Read the list again and make sure you’re doing most, if not all, of those things. Feel free to add your own in the comments section.

Mr Groomshack hasn’t posted for a while. Mrs G thought that by withdrawing her admin support he would pick up the mantle and swiftly adapt to become a social media expert / marketing strategist. Sadly this was not to be, however happily business is booming enough for her to cut him a little slack. Unfortunately this does mean countless cute pooches have not been posted. Mrs G could not resist though when she saw these pics. Mr G was in his element. Such a gorgeous boy!

PS Mr G would like me to add this is NOT a promotional post. He’s booked solid until early June so if this tempts you to make a booking, you’ll need to book ahead and he’s only taking new clients if they’re as gorgeous as this little fella 😊

The Groomshack is proud to be supporting the Steeple Aston Pre-School silent auction, raising money for their outdoor space. We’ve donated a voucher for a full or part groom, worth up to £45.

Now we all know Mr G prefers small furry creatures rather than the snotty kind, but Mrs G caught him on a good day….

A very Merry Christmas to all our wonderful customers from the Groomshack! Our first 5 months have been amazing - thank you all so much for trusting a new business, for your glowing reviews, for recommending us on Facebook, Google and in the real world. A fully booked January is the best Christmas present we could have wished for, and we can’t wait to see your little furry faces in 2023!

So it appears we had a bit of fall out after last night’s post… Clearly Bella has developed opposable thumbs and has been checking out the Groomshack feed. Oooh someone’s jealous! Replicating her big sister’s cuddle. Unfortunately for Mr G, this one weighs a ton! 😂

Mr Groomshack having a cuddle with his princess, Millie. (She may snore like an ogre but she’s still his princess ok?!) She’s in desperate need for attention, watching pooch after pooch get priority in the Groomshack. Mrs G pointed out that Millie could do with a trim before Christmas. “Have you booked in?” he asked without a hint of sarcasm…. 🤨
