๐ก๏ธ๐พ Heat Stroke Can Be Life-Threatening for Pets ๐พ๐ก๏ธ
As temperatures rise, dogs and cats can quickly become dangerously overheated.
โ ๏ธ Signs of heat stroke include:
โข Excessive panting or difficulty breathing
โข Drooling more than usual
โข Bright red or pale gums
โข Lethargy, weakness, or collapse
โข Vomiting or diarrhoea
โข Confusion, wobbliness, or seizures
If you suspect heat stroke:

Move your pet to a cool, shaded area immediately

Offer small amounts of cool (not ice-cold) water
โ
Wet their body with cool water, focusing on the paws, belly, and neck
โ
Use a fan if available
โ
Contact your vets straight away
๐ Walk dogs during the cooler parts of the day
๐ Ensure pets have access to shade and fresh water
๐ Never leave pets in a parked vehicle
๐พ Keep exercise light during hot weather
