Kennel Cough Update 🐾

We’re pleased to provide a positive update following our previous post.

Since our last post, we have had no further dogs in our care develop any symptoms, and we have also not been contacted by any owners to report symptoms in dogs that have since returned home.

If everything remains the same throughout today, with no new symptoms or concerns, we will begin to carefully ease our isolation protocols from tomorrow.

A quick reminder regarding vaccinations 💉🐾
We are currently updating all vaccination records onto our new system. If you have not recently provided or shown us your dog’s up-to-date vaccination record, please ensure you bring this with you on arrival. This includes both your dog’s core vaccinations and kennel cough vaccination. Keeping these records up to date is really important in helping us protect all of the dogs staying with us.

Thank you again to all of our customers for your patience, understanding and support while we have taken these extra precautions. The health and wellbeing of every dog in our care will always be our priority. 🐾❤️

Important Notice to Our Customers 🐾

We would like to make our customers aware that we have had a small number of dogs develop symptoms of Kennel Cough.

As a precaution, our infection-control protocols are fully in place, including isolation of any dogs showing symptoms, increased cleaning and disinfection, and measures to minimise contact between dogs.

Kennel cough is a highly contagious and, much like a human cold, can be picked up anywhere dogs come into contact with other dogs — including on walks, at parks, daycare, training classes, vets or kennels. Dogs can also be carrying the infection before showing any symptoms, so it is not always possible to identify where or when it was contracted.

All dogs currently boarding with us are required to be vaccinated against kennel cough, which helps significantly reduce the risk of spreading others. However, as with most vaccines, it cannot provide 100% protection, so we will continue to monitor every dog closely.

We want to be completely open with our customers and reassure you that we are taking every appropriate precaution to protect the dogs in our care. If any dog within our care becomes symptomatic you will be contacted privately by our team.

If your dog is currently staying with us and you would prefer to collect them, please let a member of our team know. If you have an upcoming booking and would prefer to cancel or discuss your dog’s stay, please contact us by telephone or email.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
