🐾⭐️SUPERSTAR ALERT⭐️🐾

Meet 13 week old Dougal who absolutely smashed his first puppy groom this week 🐶

Puppy grooms are so important because they help young dogs build positive experiences with grooming right from the beginning. Introducing them to the sights, sounds, smells, handling, bathing, drying, and brushing at an early age helps create confidence and makes future grooming appointments much less stressful. Ideally puppies should have 2-3 puppy grooms before their first full groom to ensure they arent too overwhelmed.

Dougal took everything in his stride and impressed us with his calm, happy attitude. We can't wait to watch him grow and see him back for his next visit! 💙

What a week! ☀️🐶 Unfortunately the weather didn't last too long...

The heatwave had everyone looking for a wee groom to cool their pups down 🐾

Here are some handsome and beautiful transformations from the past week or so! ✂️✨

Who doesnt love a wee Teddy Bear Trim? 🐻🐾

Both of these cuties have gone for a shorter body with longer legs, creating that classic teddy bear finish while making coat care much easier at home.

Benefits of a Teddy Trim:
✔️ More comfortable in hot weather
✔️ Less brushing needed on the body
✔️ Reduced matting and tangles
✔️ Keeps that gorgeous fluffy look everyone loves

If you don't want a shorter body but you're pup is struggling with the heat we can also opt for a shaved belly and/or inside of back legs to keep them cool on wooden/tiled floors when lying down as you dont notice it at all 😊

🐶⛔️ Flea and Ticks PLEASE READ.

We take high pride in maintaining a clean salon and we will NOT accept dogs with fleas in.

If you are using a topical flea/ tick spot on treatment this needs time to soak into the dogs bloodstream through the skin therefore it should be done 2-3 days before a groom.

If we find fleas or ticks on your dog, we will call you straight away and the dog will need collected ASAP.

We will also be charging owners for this as we then have to use special products and deep clean the whole salon. This costs us massively as we are down a groom and have to prospone any appointments that day until the salon is clean.

Takes two minutes to phone Ballymena Pet Vet and get some treatment before its too late.

We will be very strict on this. 👍
