My name is Sonja, and I am fully licensed by The Highland Council and fully insured. I will only ever board two dogs at any one time, so whilst you enjoy your holiday, you can rest easy knowing your dog will be happy and loved as they live alongside me in my home with my own dog, Sorrell. I have a lovely spacious house in the village of Ballachulish, a secure garden and, of course, the best of the

outdoors on my doorstep for your dog’s daily enrichment. A little bit more about me...

I relocated to the Highlands from London in August 2022, where I successfully ran my dog care service, Dogknows Central South London, for five years. Although I have relocated, I still run the business with the help of my trusted staff and I oversee operations. Please feel free to check out our 5-star reviews on Google.​

The services offered by Dogknows are primarily dog walking and puppy training. I have a wealth of experience with different breeds ranging from the Chihuahua to the Husky, and I am knowledgeable and confident in handling a variety of behaviours and personalities that our amazing canine friends bring. For the past 5 years, my fascination with dog language and behaviour has grown considerably, and over time I have helped some of my clients overcome some of their own dog's challenging behaviours with great success and something I am very proud of. I no longer look at dogs as just a pet or family members, they are so much more, and every day they continue to be great teachers to me, with my own dog being no exception. At the beginning of 2023, I was invited to join the committee of the Lochaber and District Canine Society (LDCS), which I graciously accepted and am enjoying being part of a team of wonderful people who promote responsible dog ownership by teaching owners to train their dogs for everyday life situations. I absolutely adore working with dogs, and it has been a life-long dream to do so surrounded by mountains and the big skies which the beautiful Highlands of Scotland bring. Wallets & Purses

💚 Once in a while, we get to be just me and my girl.

🐶 I could never do this job without Sorrell by my side each and every day.

💚 Our love grows every year, my heart still pounds, my tummy still gets butterflies...there's no better partnership than the one we have built together.

💚 Nowt like a sunny evening to enjoy the garden and get some beautifully fun enrichment...doggy style. Erm....dog style.

🐶 We've had a brilliant few weeks together and no one has come out of his tiny hairy shell more than Willow...aka Wispy.

💚 Reindeer has become his absolute favourite thing and he knows how to encourage Rowan and Sorrell.

🐶 Not much needed from me in this fabulous th*****me.

💚 Bishops Bay being extremely kind to us offering sniffs galore and beautiful breezes to create some of the best hairstyles.

🐶 We've had nearly 2 weeks together now so more than comfortable and happy in each others company - a little view point from the Hill of Happiness never fails...

💚 Our tiny Yorkshire Terrier found our Border Collies cocktail too irresistible....

🐶 Sorrell is polite and fair when it comes to toys. Mostly.

💚 If you've got it, I won't take it from you. BUT I will give you the BC stare and hope you weaken (this never happens).

🐶 Willow absolutely loved this game, his rules. No one else knew what the rules were but that really didn't matter.

💚 The concentration and awareness from them both was so cute. But what really intrigues me....is that this would NEVER happen unless a human was present.

🐶 So what changes....? Even with zero interference from me....why does play like this only happen when I arrive....

💚 There something about Glencoe Lochan which every dog who ever stays with us seems to really like.

🐶 More than anywhere else.

💚 The plethora of dog scent perhaps.

🐶 The ducks for pure entertainment value.

💚 The woods for up and down hill thrill rides.

🐶 The perfect reflection from the view point of all view points.

💚 The sun glistening on the lush green flora.

🐶 Ok, I got carried away, those last two are my indulgence - don't tell the hounds.

💚 Whatever it is, there are multiple squeaks as we make that all important 'TURN LEFT', followed by the best walks, rarely any dramas and everyone returns completely zonked.

💚 We have a little crossover of dogs this weekend so I decided separate walks of two was a better idea than 4 dogs together - eliminating possible chaos and lead entanglement.

🐶 It also meant a calmer walk for each of our dogs and a good excuse for me to give Sorrell a bit of on lead walking.

💚 It worked out swimmingly for everyone with the pairings being quite complimentary.

🐶 Well done dogs - cracking walks had by all.

💚 And a sausage for Willow and Sorrell at The Quarry Centre - but don't tell Rowan and Ez. Although Rowan didn't stop sniffing Willows muzzle on return.

🙈 Totally busted.

🐶 Ezzie arrived at Ballachulish Bed & Biscuits along with his den fit for a king....

💚 Rowan's inquisitive nature got the better of him and he took his investigation skills slowly but very seriously...

🐶 Turned out it was nothing for him to worry about - different dogs - different beds.

💚 If only everything in life was so easily resolved.
