The importance of trust and touch🫶🏽
Suzi had caught her dew claw today while her and Corran were mid WWE session with eachother. She was absolutely perfect throughout the whole process, Not stressed, No growls or warnings snaps, She just sat there absolutely perfectly.
This is why it’s so important to have both trust and a strong relationship with a dog whether it be your own or someone else’s. She fully understood i was there to help and trusted me to follow through with helping her out. Even with our bond already built it’s still so important to praise and reward in these situations as she handled it absolutely perfectly.
Touch is also very important to do with your dogs, If she was not used to being handled this could have made a small situation a big one and caused stress for both me and her. She’s more than happy to have me touch over her paws, belly, legs, ears, etc. This is easy stuff people can do everyday to prevent stress in important situations.
