The dangers of dog walking… and why insurance isn’t optional 🐾⚠️
I keep seeing kids advertising dog walking for a bit of pocket money…
Cute? Yes.
A good idea? Not always 👀
Because this isn’t just “walking a dog”…
This is responsibility for a living, breathing animal that can run, react, panic, fight, bolt… in seconds.
So ask yourself 👇
❓ Are they insured?
❓ Do they understand dog behaviour?
❓ Do they know what to do in an emergency?
Because when things go wrong… they go wrong FAST.
🚶‍♀️ Leads slip
🚗 Dogs run into roads
🐕 Aggressive dogs appear out of nowhere
🤕 Injuries happen
🤢 Dogs eat things they shouldn’t
And in that moment… it’s not about pocket money anymore.
It’s about experience, control, and knowing exactly what to do under pressure.
That’s the difference between
“someone who walks dogs”…
and a professional dog walker.
You’re not just paying for a walk…
you’re paying for safety, knowledge, and peace of mind. 🐶

I have a space come available on my playful group dog walk, starting week commencing the 23rd March Mon-Fri, I start collecting the dogs around 10am and they will get dropped off anywhere between 11:30-12, the walk is for 1 hour, suitable for a dog living in Newark, Balderton or Fernwood who is very sociable and playful, if male ideally neutered due to dogs I already have on the walks!
I have 20 years experience of working with dog's and have been a self employed dog walker for 10 years, fully insured and experienced in socialising dogs.
Walks are £13.50 please get in touch for any more information or if interested 🙏

Just to let you know my last day walking the dog's before Christmas break will be the 23rd December and back on the 5th January!
If you haven't already let me know if you don't need walks up until the 23rd please let me know 🙂

Due to a few people enquiring regarding dog sitting over the last few months and then cancelling before a deposit has been taken I shall now be charging a £10 fee for a visit which will come off the overall balance!
When I visit dog's and owners before a stay this takes time out of my day which can be up to half an hour or more, petrol money and also potentially losing out on other business by turning other's away for the same dates.
