We value all of our customers ❤️

Well nearly!

If you spend a fiver a week, give us your chat, tell us what your dog likes, how you are, ask how we are - you are treated in exactly the same way as the customer who spends £100 a week with us.

We appreciate your custom in the same way, will give advice in the same way, care about you in the same way.

We occasionally have folk who don’t shop with us for very, very long periods of time, then turn up telling us that because they want a one off high value order that they deserve special treatment, deserve extra discount and then muck us about playing one supplier off against another.

I consider myself so lucky that I have enough lovely customers who spend their fiver (or more) every week and who we value, that I don’t have to play these games and can happily tell folks who treat legitimate businesses like this to go do one 😊

Alex and Gillian are on the shop floor today from 10am until 5.30pm with Lewis keeping everything right behind the scenes.

In today are the Barking Bistro gently cooked meals, a restock into the Dibo freezer and a wee panic interim pallet of our Petcayr own label foods ahead of the two pallet main order arriving on Thursday.

Nova pet treats have boxes coming in too with new products and we have an order from our main wholesaler.

Never a dull moment 🤣

Steve and I are off until Thursday and in what must be one of the most dog friendly areas of the UK❤️

Where are we? Have you been to this amazing area of coastline? We always look in other pet shop windows wherever we go btw!!! 🤣

We are starting our Saturday with the introduction of a new range of complete adult wet food manufactured for us under our Hutchie’s brand 😊

With 60% meat content, potato and veg, these 395g packs are very attractively priced at £1.60 each or try an introductory bundle of six - two of each flavour for £9.

Here from 9.30am until 3pm today and then back on Tuesday with Alex, Gillian and Lewis as Steve is taking me away for a few days 😍

If you’d like to start feeding raw, are looking to become more confident in what you are already doing or are stuck in a rut and need help understanding the nutritional principles behind feeding raw and the benefits of variety in the diet, then we are here to help.

I am accredited in canine nutrition and have over 30 years experience in helping raw feeders, long before most of today’s brands were around!

Because I’m a ba humbug non festive person I really put so much effort into making sure that all you Christmas loving pet people don’t notice that 🤣

I have visited multiple garden centres over the last few days looking for, well, a garden item, and I’ve not been able to find it in September because IT’S APPARENTLY CHRISTMAS 😳😳😳

Give me a date….when do you want Christmas stock to appear? After Halloween, after bonfire night, NOW….!!!????

The timing of this absolutely evades me and has done so for the last thirty years 🫤

I don’t want anyone to not find what they want to buy normally because I’ve taken it off the shelf to make room for seasonal stock.

We may actually make a seperate Christmas shop so that no one experiences my level of frustration in being plunged into winter while it’s still 17 degrees out!!

It’s Tuesday so we are back from 10 until 5.30pm after touching base and sorting our lives over the last couple of days so that we can get on with the week ahead.

❤️I’ve taken Mrs H for the results of scans and bloods done a couple of weeks ago - not great news but could be worse, we’ve got a plan

❤️Steve has had a full day with Murph the anxious spaniel so that his mum and dad could meet up with friends

❤️Oh!! Alex and Lewis didn’t have much time off 😢 they sneaked in to cook up more veggie blends, hoover the shop, the freezer room, and wait for an incoming order that we eventually heard wasn’t actually arriving 🤬

BALANCE !!!

Without it you can’t play the long game as a small family business.

Mucki Mutz dogwear visited us last year, taking measurements for bespoke thermal and waterproof dog suits.

THEY WILL BE BACK WITH US ON SATURDAY 25 OCTOBER FROM 11am UNTIL 3pm

This fabulous independent small business makes a really high quality product and we are so chuffed to welcome them again.
