🙌🏻Sometimes you just sit back and appreciate all you have a little more then you normally do.

Every business, large or small has obstacles thrown at them and this year our main one has been experiencing the never ending inflation of costs.

Stressful periods like these make me realise how truly lucky we are to have such wonderful, supportive clients. Some which have been with us since the start, and some joined us later on but I am so beyond grateful for you all.

Seeing my clients happy, having a catch up, chatting away is what makes my day. Even if I was meant to just be popping out as I forgot something🤣

Not forgetting all the beautiful Horses’s faces we get to see everyday, or their neighs in the mornings (for feed😂) but i often pretend it’s because they love us so much!

I could not imagine life without the clients we have, they are always what I would call our ‘hype man’ & I suppose this is just a big thank you to you all.

& thank you to all our friends and family who support us whenever you can, this will always mean more than you could ever know.

It’s never just a ‘job’ to me. ❤️

When sending your horses away to be trained, it’s so so important to do a hard search on all platforms.

It’s becoming to common nowadays for horses to be so mistreated and leaving a negative impact on their training and wellbeing.

We have to do better!

THE LATEST SAD CASE OF HORSE ABUSE BY A "PROFESSIONAL"

Some of you may have already seen the video. It's so apaulling that I can't bring myself to share the video. This poor horse was left in an outdoor arena with a dummy tied to its back and its head tied to its chest. This is ABUSE!

The person who is alleged to be responsible for this is a professional producer and judge.

I understand the individual has been suspended by three prominent showing societies: the British Show Horse Association (BSHA), Sport Horse GB, the Irish Draught Horse Society (IDHS) and the Coloured Horse and Pony Society (CHAPS). Lets hope they follow up with a lifetime ban!

Now we need the RSPCA (England & Wales) to prosecute. I am sure this video alone is enough to ensure a conviction - unless it goes before a senile judge.

‘The clip hasn’t lasted long at all!’

The change in daylight hours is what triggers the winter coat change and growth -
In the UK, horse’s coats tend to start changing from (roughly) early September and can continue to grow in reasonably quickly through to the winter solstice, at which point the coat growth will slow down.

You’ll find that clips between September-December don’t ’last as long’ as clips done in the New Year. This is because the winter coat is continually growing until the solstice.
Natives/cobs/heavies tend to be on the hairier side, so some may need clipped every 4 weeks (give or take) if you want to keep them neat.
Whereas warmblood/TB/finer types may only need clipped 2/3 times over the whole winter (September-February), as they tend to grow a finer coat.

This is a rough guide, not a set in stone rule!
Every horse is different, and there are a lot of factors to consider -
• Age
• Breed
• Coat type (thick/fine/dense/long…)
• Health (Cushing’s Disease, EMS etc)
• Weight
• Workload
• Routine (in/out)
• Or, just like people - they can be hairy/not so hairy, no matter what the breed of horse is!

How often do you clip your horse? Tell me their breed etc and why you chose to do it as often as you do!
