We've all heard the saying a happy dog is a tired dog!

I believe that gives a slightly wrong impression but

'a content dog who has the right amount of physical and mental exercise to suit their individual needs is a happy dog'

doesn't role off the tongue quite as well!

Some dogs need lots of physical exercise with a daily walk where some may need less and only go out a few times a week. For some walks can be quite stressful or unenjoyable.

A slow sniffy meander can be worth a lot more than a long high energy trek!
