A very enjoyable evening was had by all last Thursday at Ringcraft.

Congratulations went out to Carol and Chris and their beautiful girl.

Having been ‘made up’ into a Champion last year, she recently gained her fourth CC with Best of Breed at Birmingham National.

Congratulations 🎊 from everyone at Axminster Ringcraft Club.

✉️Message from the Committee✉️

We have been advised by The Bookings Officer for the Village Hall that there may be some disruption and road closures in the immediate vicinity, and we have been asked to inform you… see below ⬇️

🚧“As you may have noticed, South West Water is carrying out extensive works throughout the local area. We have just received notice from them that works are scheduled to be carried out along School Lane, All Saints between Saturday 23rd May and Sunday 31st May. Our Parish Clerk has been assured that although Road Closed signs will be in place, access to the Village Hall car park will remain throughout these works🚧

🛣As you may be aware, similar works are currently being carried out along Goldsmiths Lane which have indeed over-run, so I'm afraid that the above completion date may be flexible although I believe that they will try to complete the works during the school holiday”.

🏠It would appear from the above, that hall users should be unaffected.

🚧URGENT - ROAD CLOSURE CONTINUES / TRAINING OUTSIDE

For your information,

🚧We have been informed that there are road closures from 6.30pm this evening. Please be advised these closures continue for the next few weeks.

🚧The main closure for concern is the A358 which will be affected between Chard and Axminster. As we understand it this will impinge on the road exiting Chard.

🚧As there are multiple road closures reported it is advisable to check your own area/route before embarking on your journey.

🐾It was a great turnout last week, despite the road closures.

🌞As the warmer months and lighter evenings are approaching, we will aim to train outside when possible (weather permitting). Please ensure you bring suitable footwear and warm layers of clothing for you and your dog(s) (in case it becomes chilly later on)

We hope you all had a wonderful Easter 🐣

A Match Night for Spring 2026 is upon us! A fantastic opportunity for you and your dogs to put all that hard work and training into practice…...

🕑Please can we ask that you arrive promptly (7pm) for the Match Night, this will enable us to complete all the necessary entry forms.

The following classes will be available for entry....

🐾Baby Puppy- 4-6 months*

🐾 Puppy- 6-12 months

🐾 Intermediate- up to 2 years

🐾Open- for all eligible dogs over 2 years - not having gained RCC(s) or CC(s).

🐾Veteran- from 7 years

🐾Upper Class- for any dog with a CC (Challenge Certificate) or RCC (Reserve Challenge Certificate) **

🏆There will be some lovely rosettes on offer for winners.

I have been asked to pass on a few notes on hall housekeeping: -
🏠The hall volunteers have been busy and all hall users have been asked to be especially careful with respecting the newly decorated building. Particularly the stage and the paintwork below it. Please do not sit on the stage or use the stage area and be mindful not to scuff the walls with chairs.
The whole hall has only recently been refurbished and has a set of lovely new upholstered chairs – please do not allow your dogs to sit on them.

✂️If you brush or groom your dog, please place the hair in a bin or take it home with you.

We are so fortunate to have this wonderful venue to train in, I am sure you will wish to support these very reasonable requests, particularly as the hall is entirely run by volunteers.

We look forward to seeing you on Thursday 16th April.
