This is so align with my philosophy.
Dogs need to be dogs! They need to take risks, they should not be contained
We are their teachers their mentors , we are there to guide them. Not control them 💕

Village dogs risk their lives every single day.
They cross roads. Navigate fights. Work out who and what to trust. That’s how they grow up strong, adaptable, confident.
Our pet dogs? They come from that same lineage - but live a world apart.
We’ve removed almost every opportunity to take risks. They’re kept safe, controlled, contained. No choices. No freedom. No chance to fail and figure it out.
And we’re seeing the effects. Not just in behaviour, but in confidence, creativity, and resilience.
Kids are going through something similar. Play is disappearing. Movement is limited. But children still find ways to chase challenge - even if it’s synthetic, through games and screens.
Dogs don’t have that outlet. No risk. No adventure. No stimulation. Just a list of rules and routines.
If we want resilient dogs - not just obedient ones - we have to start giving them something back.
Challenge. Autonomy. Movement. Safe but meaningful chances to make decisions, take risks, and learn from them.
It’s not about letting go of all structure. It’s about making space for growth. Because without risk, there is no resilience.
Let them try. Let them move. Let them learn who they are.
