**Important Notice**

We are delisting Natures Menu’s Meaty Treats for dogs and cats.

New packaging for these treats has seen a change in how the ingredients are listed. They now list ingredients under umbrella terms such as ‘meat and animal derivatives’ (any part of any warm-blooded animal) rather than listing each ingredient separately with clear percentages. These umbrella terms are often used on low quality foods and treats which can then allow the manufacturer to change the ingredients without having to change the packaging. Perhaps using which ever is cheapest at the time.

Natures Menu Meaty treats are a premium priced product and the ingredients should reflect this.

They have told us that the composition hasn’t changed but this does leave the door wide open to it.

We have therefore taken the easy decision to delist the treats, for which we have many healthy and natural alternatives.

Since we started project cut-backs back in 2013 and moved towards a more natural pet store we’ve not allowed any new dog or cat food or treat to grace our shelves if they contain umbrella terms as mentioned above.

Natures Menu have also brought out some new wet foods called ‘Hearty Stews’ and the ingredients are listed as ‘meat and animal derivates’ so you’ve guessed it, we won’t be stocking those either.
