National Animal Welfare Trust Bedfordshire

National Animal Welfare Trust Bedfordshire NAWT Bedfordshire (formerly HULA Animal Rescue) has been helping pets and their owners since 1972. We also have a foster and rehome 'home to home' scheme.

This year, in our 50th year of operation, we are embarking on our largest ever project to redevelop our animal accommodation for homeless pets. National Animal Welfare Trust Bedfordshire (Supporting HULA Animal Rescue) is a small animal adoption centre on the border of Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire. We're based in Aspley guise and rescue dogs, cats and small animals who are needing new homes or

who are in vulnerable situations. Whilst with us they are provided with all the care they need - and a lot of cuddles too of course! During the time they are with us we assess them and start to look for the most appropriate and suitable home for them. We are a non profit organisation and have been serving the local community since the early 70s. Our fundraising is vital for us to continue the work that we do. To help us continue to offer shelter to homeless pets for the next 50 years and beyond, please support our redevelopment project: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/savenawtbedfordshire

Matilda is a gorgeous 1-year-old female cat who came into our care as a pregnant stray. She is currently in a loving foster home whilst she awaits her forever home. She’s done a wonderful job raising her three healthy kittens, and now it’s her turn to be spoilt and loved in a home of her own.
Matilda is affectionate and loves to be near her humans. While she’s not a lap cat, she enjoys snuggling up beside you for company. She’s also playful and full of fun – she loves batting around her toys and will happily entertain herself with anything that jingles or rolls.
If you would like to offer this lovely girl a new home, please register your interest today!

We’ve just taken in 3 terrified male chihuahuas from a home where over 75 dogs were living in a small property, crammed together in filth, never going outside or given proper care and attention.

They have not been able to be health checked yet, but are unneutered, unvaccinated, and unchipped at the very least.

Our dedicated animal care team is working patiently to build their trust—but we urgently need support to cover their health checks, neutering, vaccinations, microchipping, and ongoing behavioural care. We've launched a JustGiving appeal to help give these traumatised boys the fresh start they deserve.

Meet Angel and Onyx, a beautiful bonded pair of 1-year-old sisters who are looking for a loving home together. These sweet girls were initally nervous in our cattery as they adjust to their new surroundings, but with patience and love, they have begun flourish! While they may shy away at first, they come out of their cosy beds for attention and absolutely love a treat – especially Dreamies!
If you would like to offer these lovely ladies a new home, please register your interest on our website!
