Making sure your dog gets the right amount of Gentle dog food helps support their energy, digestion, and overall wellbeing. As a rough guide;

🐕 Adult dogs should be fed around 1–1.2% of their body weight per day, split between 2 meals. This can be adjusted slightly depending on breed, activity levels, and age — with older or less active dogs generally needing slightly less.

🐶 Puppies and young dogs may need up to 2.5% of their body weight daily to support their growth and development. As they grow, their nutritional needs change quickly, so regular adjustments to portion sizes are important to help maintain healthy growth, energy levels, and body condition.

Because cold pressed food is highly nutritious and nutrient dense, it is often overfed without owners realising. Feeding too much can sometimes lead to loose stools, restless behaviour, excessive thirst, or unwanted weight gain. Starting with the recommended amount and adjusting gradually based on your dog’s condition, energy, and lifestyle is usually the best approach.

‘’I have been giving my cockapoo Merlot ‘Gentle’ since he was 10 weeks old.
