Hello everyone, it's time to say a big goodbye to you all and a big thank you for your support. I will be closing the page soon as we keep getting enquiries. You can find either me or Natasha on Facebook if you need us.

I would like to say how proud I am of Natasha who has learnt so much over the past few years ,so much so that she will be working in a brand new grooming salon in Heyside, Royton called Short, Bark and Sides.
I wish her the best of luck and if you don't mind the journey, she will be delighted to see you. The salon opens at the beginning of June.

I also would like to thank Jemima who was thrown in at the deep end last year as we came out of lockdown. She covered for Tash when travel was difficult. Jemima is now in the rotten position of being unemployed, if anyone knows of any vacancies anywhere, let us know.

Finally a massive thank you to all the wonderful dogs who made our days an absolute pleasure. We will miss them all very much. At least we have pictures of them all.

Take care everyone and thank you

Hello everyone,
As some of you may know, I have been grooming for many years now, I have always loved my job and the dogs we groom. But I have come to the decision to hang up my scissors and say farewell to grooming.
This hasn't been an easy decision and there are many reasons that brought me to this point.
Doing this job for so long has taken its toll physically on me and it's not going to get any better if I carry on.
We will still be here until the end of May and giving you plenty of notice will give you time to find a new groomer.
We will miss all our lovely dogs and the friends we have made along the way and for me that is the hardest part.
Thank you for supporting our little grooming salon, we are all very grateful that you chose us to look after your dogs. They have brightened our days, made us smile and made us cry.

We are open but it's still not business as usual just yet, however we will try to accommodate as many dogs as we possibly can.
Take care everyone,
Sue, Tash and Jemima. X

Good news everyone, even though we can't open fully and do everything we want to do, ie, wash and fluff and tidy ups, we can now tackle those dogs that are looking like yeti's. I'm sure by now everbody's dogs all need a good cut, clean up round their eyes and nails cutting. Don't mention the matts!!!
We are opening with reduced days and hours and only doing those dogs who we believe fit the critera.
If we haven't contacted you yet, I'm sorry we will get round to you. I'm trying to keep everyone updated and it's taking a while. Please message or call the shop if you think your dog is suffering.
I'm sure by the 29th when the stay at home rules get relaxed we will be able to do more but we will have to see.
Thanks for your support and patience. We look forward to seeing you all again.
Sue. X

Hi everyone, sorry to have to give you more bad news, I know it’s last minute but I’ve only just found out.
As of 15th January the Pet Industry Federation gave us revised guidance regarding what we can and can’t do as groomers. It is completely understandable as the government are trying to keep people indoors. Their response to DEFRA guidance is below.
Please, if you’re dogs coat is getting too bad, affecting their welfare or their nails are very long, don’t hesitate to get in touch. We will let you know when we know what’s happening.Thank you for your understanding, we want to do the right thing but we understand how disappointing it is for all of us. Take care and sending cuddles to all our fur babies.πŸ’•

Hi everyone, we are remaining open for the time being but we are only open Thursday Friday and Saturday. We want to stay open for those dogs who need grooming for their welfare but we can’t offer baths for short haired dogs unless they have a skin complaint.
By opening three days we can groom those dogs who need it and try to keep contact to a minimum.
Also we have to pay the rent, which is why we are introducing a de- matting charge of Β£5 for every 15 minutes spent brushing. We can spend considerable time getting through a matted coat.
Last thing, please let us know if you can’t make an appointment.
Thank you for your understanding.
