Maple, Jemma, and Rio enjoying this mornings first beach walk. Both Rio and Jemma are keen swimmers. Maple goes in and has a good old wallow, but I've not seen her swim yet.

This big lad is 4 Today. We had a hell of a job getting Rio to sit for the photos as he just wanted to sn**ch the Cake. He did share half of the cake with Toyt, Jess, Paddy, Maple and Jemma who were behind me.

Jackie and I would like to wish a very HAPPY 10th BIRTHDAY to:- WILLOW, NELL, PEBBLES, BUMBLE, BROOK, OTTA, ROSE, CHARLIE, and never forgetting poor SCRUMBLE and HUMPHREY who sadly crossed Rainbow Bridge a long time ago.

Here we have our gorgeous old girl Toyt, enjoying her morning potter across the road from us on the cricket, and recreation field. Considering that she's not far off 14, she's doing well. It couldn't be described as either a fast, or long walk, but she's still keen not to be left out, after the others have had their walks. It's also a change of scene for her, and importantly it gives her some stimulation...... generally taking the form of looking for delicious rabbit poo! Bless her, she's a real one off.

So, life goes on as they say. Despite our very recent bereavement, our other six gorgeous dogs still expect their daily walks.
Here are Jess and Paddy. We walked along the beach to the Calder estuary (second walk) and, like his late Mum (Joy), Paddy is a keen swimmer, so enjoyed a morning dip. Jess had more sense, and told me!

Jackie and I would like to thank you all for your comforting, and very kind comments following our heartbreaking loss. He's a huge miss, and our grief is still quite raw. However, we are so very lucky, and privileged to have had JJ as part of our family. He brought us so much joy, and unconditional love. What a character he was. He lives on in our hearts, and of course in his many babies. We are lucky to have three of them.
So we have so much to be thankful for, but the pain of loss still bites.

It is with Heart Braking news we have to Announce Our Beautiful JJ (Jet Junior) Crossed the Rainbow 🌈 Bridge this morning We had to do the Most Loving and Caring act for Him. He took ill last night and we sat with Him to try and comfort Him. We tried to do all and everything we possibly could with the drug Ivermectin plus other medication but the cancer had spread too far by the time we found out. Up until yesterday other than a couple of off days if you had have seen him you would have thought there was not a lot wrong with Him. JJ is Father to 9 litters and has around 80 offspring running around and a lot are like Him or have His ways, Luckily we have 3 of them. RIP and Run Free JJ you will be Missed More Than You Know.

This was walk two on the beach this morning. This time with Jess, JJ, and Paddy (JJ's son).
As you'll notice, JJ went for his usual morning cool off paddle, but then decided it was well worth a little treat. Bless him.
