My names Laura & I'm the owner of Walkies Northumberland. I started dog walking/dog sitting over 12 years ago but gave it up a few years later to focus on my hospitality career. After all this time, my love for dogs has never changed & I have decided to start my own business again doing what I love most. THEN I GOT PREGNANT 🤦‍♀️🤣

Walkies Northumberland had to be put on hold & it absolutely broke

☀️🌊 ADVENTURE DAY 🌊☀️

Today we had Bella booked in for her very first solo adventure day!

Today was specifically structured to meet all of Bella’s needs which included;

🐾 Over an hours walk to our destination.

🐾 30min rest with refreshments, treats & people watching.

🐾 Playing on the beach & having a little paddle.

🐾 Bus ride home.

All of these things gave Bella significant benefits such as new/exciting walking locations, mental stimulation with different socialisation & training opportunities outside of Bella’s comfort zone (especially calmness training!) & the most important benefit of all… HAVING FUN & strengthening our bond 🥰🐾

To think I used to stand outside Bella’s house for our entire 30min walk & look at us now!!!

I think it’s safe to say that I actually am one of those dog walkers that actually WALK MY DOGS and not sit in their van or hide in bus stops 👀😂

I’m off to soak my legs with a very strong drink before doing it all again tomorrow 🫠🐾
