Back to our ingredients series…
🌾Grains! Always a controversial topic when it comes to dog food.
Often the cheapest and easiest way to ‘bulk up’ the bag, and with very little use to pooch, you might actually be spending more to feed your dog on what seems to be a cheaper food!

The general consensus is that most dogs do better on a ‘grain-free’ diet. Which means that it doesn’t contain any ingredients classed as a grain, like rice. That’s why we stock only grain free dry foods! 👍

🍠Sweet potatoes are the most desirable form of carbohydrates in dry foods as they are the most digestible and offer a wide range of health benefits. (More so than white potatoes!)

However, all dogs are different! If you’re looking for some form of grain in your dog’s food, opt for brown rice or oats as a better source of fibre.

This exhausted little 🐝 bumblebee was in danger of getting stepped on outside the shop. A little sugar water, and a pit stop to warm up and it was back on its way 🧡

Insects, especially bees, play such a vital role in our ecosystem 🌍 They face constant destruction through loss of habitat, pesticide use and human activity. Not everyone is a fan, but think before you swat or squash them…

🐶 Here’s Moli and Minty demonstrating their cooling bandanas to help keep them comfortable during hot weather. ☀️

Moli comes from Qatar, and now lives in Ohio, USA. She still needs help keeping cool despite living in a warmer climate.😎

And people might think that sighthounds, like Minty the greyhound might not need as much help as other breeds due to their low body fat and generally thinner coats. But Minty can testify that every dog needs extra care during hotter temperatures to keep them safe! 🐾
