✨HAPPY NEW YEAR✨

Welcome 2025 and new beginnings!🤞🏼

I’m the 23 year old human called Alex and this is my 20 month malinois Six. I am in my final year of my forensic science degree and so life these last few months have been chaos!

I will no longer be training other peoples dogs but focusing on my future and Six’s PSA journey with the amazing help of and all the amazing people who attend the club✨

The content on here will differ slightly, showcasing our adventures, obedience, bitework and walk throughs of any new tricks I teach him☺️

Hopefully you all stick around and join us for this next chapter🥹

Wishing you all the best for 2025 - which btw for any 2001 kids this is OUR YEAR the year of the snake 🐍🎊🤩

Upcoming Session🤩

Our Group Obedience Sessions offer owners a safe, structured environment to learn new skills and proof existing commands around other dogs.

Does your dog have a high prey drive? This session will focus on impulse control skills that can be taken into the real world by proofing commands and recall around distractions.

Do you struggle with pulling on your daily walks? This session will break down the command 'heel' into manageable bites that can be rehearsed at home to make your walks stress-free!

Woody is a beautiful 17 month Golden Retriever who came to us with hyper arousal around other dogs…and really everything!

By providing him with a structured week filled with training and fundamental down-time, he was a completely different dog by the end of the week.

Allowing your dog to observe the world, without being involved at every moment is an incredibly important skill.

Neutrality should be the core of all training.

It then opens the door for training, where the dog chooses to engage with us fully to become well-balanced AND well-mannered in public settings.

Whether it’s loose-lead walking, down-stays or settling in public. We need to teach our dog the importance of engaging with us over the world so there is room for growth in the relationship.

Our popular group dog training sessions are getting fully booked in advance - if you have been thinking of joining us and are interested in these sessions - we highly recommend ensuring you have completed your initial 1-1 sooner rather than later!

Feel like you’re never going to nail loose-lead walking?

Do reliable down stays seem impossible?

Consider these three points and whether they apply to you and could be holding you and your dog back from seeing success 😬

👉🏼 Dog trainers offer 1-1 sessions for a reason - to give you tailored advice, support and critique your techniques. If you’re only attending group sessions where your trainer is splitting their time between everyone, you should consider using 1-1 sessions to learn, and then go on to apply that knowledge in group sessions.

👉🏼Everyone has off days but letting your dog get away with unwanted behaviours even just “now and again” is not going to help you progress. Holding your dog accountable consistently and helping them to understand what is expected creates a much better dynamic and foundation for all of your training.

👉🏼Are you simply expecting too much? Having a clear goal and focus to achieve will not only help yourself and your dog with their training, but it will allow you to track how much progress you have made over time. If you’re still struggling with engagement when you’re training in your back garden, don’t expect your dog to have all eyes on you when they’re suddenly exposed to a busy park or new environment with lots of distraction.

There is no set timeline for training your dog, no matter the command or behaviour you’re working on together - what is most important is that you are seeing progress in the first place.
