What do I say……. An absolutely incredible feet from the Ascott under Wychwood team pulling off three incredible days of British eventing in the backdrop of the Rolling hills of Oxfordshire!

We had lots of new things going on this weekend…………

*new layout – 💪🏻
*new TA -💪🏻
*new BE steward - 💪🏻
* running three days – 💪🏻
* new novice track – 💪🏻
* new medic team – 💪🏻
* new Doctor – 💪🏻
* new lead scorer – 💪🏻
* trialed FEI approved timing beams at start and finish – 💪🏻
* trained eight sets of new Fence Judges across the weekend – 💪🏻
*new trade stands -💪🏻

Thank you to every single volunteer, contractor, rider, owner, trainer, groom, mum/dad for making it a very lovely weekend!

Cancelled

We are very sad to say that we have had to make the decision to cancel Ascott under Wychwood (2).

I am afraid that we did not receive enough entries to make it financially viable to prepare the site and run the event to the standard we want. This was even the case when we looked at running one day.

We never take these decisions lightly and always try our upmost to provide the best courses and going within our power!

With next to no rain since February the Gods this year have gone against us in the opposite direction to last year! Our going has been measured by Mark Lucey earlier this year as ‘Good’ which was obtained by relentless work and arevorating. We do not have the ability to water as there are no water sources at the top of a hill, so this is never an option for us.

We hope that the UK gets some much needed rain for everyone’s sake!

We hope to see you all in a field somewhere soon.
