With temperatures expected to get extremely hot next week, you're probably wondering if we have a plan , we most certainly do so, please take note of the following, especially if you have an appointment.
Yes, the salon does stay quite cool. We have measures to keep it cool enough to work for us & the dogs.
If you are coming to an appointment in the middle of the day, please try to avoid the hot pavements stay in the shade on your way in, if you want us to come and carry your dog in please let us know in advance .
We may need to make changes to how we do your dogs groom we will advise you of this at the appointment.
In the event we feel it's too hot to proceed with working, we will call you and reschedule .
If you're bringing in a vuneranable or sick dog, please take extra care.
If you are in any way concerned about coming in, just call us, and we will understand or may have a suggestion.

This year, THE WAG CLUB is 20 YEAR'S OLD !!
We could not have done it without all of you , your support and love ❤️ and those who've helped us along the way !

We have thought about it, and instead of a party that is tricky for all to attend, we are going to be sharing with you on fb some of the pictures and stories from the last 20 years over the next few months , we will also be celebrating with you when we see you all hope you enjoy and again THANKYOU 😀

Hey all, I know you're all a very sensible bunch, but please remember, look after those fur babies in the heat . Especially those that are old, very young, and flatter face breeds, they will be most vulnerable. Also, something you may not know wet towels are best NOT drapped over your pet as they warm the air under them quickly and trap the body heat from escaping instead you can put them on the floor for them to lay on or use a cooling mat. If they won't lie on those, you can dampen the belly with cool water, never use cold water, it shocks the body, and it may cause the body to try to warm up.

Very sad news today , many of you will remember Stanley, the border terrier he used to come into work with Emma to help every Wednesday. He was in here from a puppy, and we had many great times with him. He loved it . He became a valued member of the team along with his sister Mable . He sadly passed away. We are all devastated and heartbroken 💔 he had an amazingly full life, and all our love goes to Emma, India, Callum, Miles, and Mable

Today was a very intresting day working alongside our lovley Charlotte she is studying veterinary physio and has been doing some studies on IVDD, which is Intervertebral Disc Disease , I learnt alot just proves you never stop learning.

We need your opinion, guys
So we have been thinking 🤔 it would be much better for the environment and a number of other reasons if we recycle ♻️ your fury babies hair . It can be recycled for a number of uses we used to send it off many years ago to mop up oil spillages.
So now, if we were to think about doing this again via a proper pet hair recycling company it would mean you as the client would have the OPTION to choose to pay a £1 donation when you visit which would then go to recycling the dog hair. We won't be profiting from this in anyway it just covers the recycling costs, and you don't have to participate. Your thoughts in the comments please 🙏 thankyou , Peggy is telling Vicky what she thinks !
