I have had a few no-shows this week and whilst I totally understand that life happens to us all and this is a particularly busy time of year, this is really hard for me to manage and ultimately results in me losing income.

I am fully booked weeks/months ahead,Im trying my best to fit everyone in and although I have a cancellation list as long as my arm, the reality is that the time lost when I’m not given any notice of a cancellation, often means I simply don’t have enough time available to get another dog in and complete the groom before the next appointment is due.

Please just let me know if you can’t make it, that way someone else can take the slot and I still get paid.

I ask for a small fee of 50% of the groom fee in the event of late cancellations (if I can fill it, I don’t generally charge it) and no shows, which will be payable before any further bookings can be made.

Hello! A selection (10 is apparently all I’m allowed in one post) of my recent grooms as I haven’t posted for a while. Every one of my dogs are pets and their grooms not only need to suit them, but the lifestyles of their families. Coat type, temperament, age & health are all considered. Here I have a Tibetan Terrier who struggles with allergies in the summer, so a shorter trim helps keep that in check. I have spaniels that are clipped and others that are hand-stripped. Some of my more elderly clients prefer to lie or sit as much as possible during their grooms. Some come back every six weeks, others can go 12-weeks or in little Bruno’s case 1-2 times a year works fine. There is no one size fits all and that’s ok! 🐶🐾

Located in Morecambe town centre, Lancashire. Availability for a qualified/experienced Dog Groomer. Table available six days a week to choose your own hours.

You will need to manage your own diary & have your own clients. We're turning potential customers away daily so this is a great opportunity to build a client base reasonably quickly.

Must have :
* At least 12 months experience (portfolio required) or recognised dog grooming qualification
* Be confident and able to work alone
* Able to deliver a good standard of grooming
* Your own tools such as blades, clippers and scissors
* Your own insurance
* Good customer service skills

Rent Incudes:
* Use of electric table and bath
* Use of Shampoos and products i.e scents/sprays
* Use of blasters /finish dryers

Here’s a snap shot of my week . . .

Lottie and Lulu were amongst those that came to see me at Morecambe’s The Dogfather Groomers with a first puppy session and a first full haircut respectively. I had a little win with Betty & Wilma - nail trims are not their favourite but we got it done, so hopefully they’re much more comfortable. Mack & Zak came in together and yes, Zak lay down like that for the whole groom, but we got around it, my arms get a good work out and they are both sweethearts - win:win I’d say! Last but certainly not least Bertie & Marley, they’re both regulars and just look at those ‘butter wouldn’t melt’ faces!

I don’t always get a photo of every dog, usually because I run out of time 🫣 or sometimes they simply aren’t in the mood to sit for a photo, I don’t force it. So please don’t be disappointed if your dog isn’t featured, I’m sure they will be next time! 🐶🐾
