💌 Important Announcement
Some of you may already be aware, as I’ve been reaching out and messaging people individually. Apologies if I haven’t got to you yet—it’s been a long and very emotional process.
I have some sad news to share. After a lot of thought and consideration, I’ve had to make the very difficult decision to close Sunnyside K9 Grooming. With the impact of revised taxes and rising overhead costs, it has unfortunately become unviable for me to continue.
This has truly been one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make, as this business has meant so much to me. However, I have been offered an exciting new job opportunity that I simply cannot turn down—especially in the current economic climate.

✨ I will continue to run the business until the end of September, so all existing appointments this month will go ahead as planned. Sadly, any bookings from October onwards will need to be cancelled.

I’m going to miss all of your wonderful dogs and you, their pawrents so very much. It has been a pleasure, an honour, and a joy getting to know you all. 🐾💖

Although the grooming side is coming to a close, I’ll be keeping this page and renaming it so we can all keep in touch. Going forward, it’ll be more centred around sharing advice, tips, and fun doggy adventure places to go.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you to every single one of you for your support, loyalty, and kindness, it truly means the world to me. And a very special thank you to the Houseman family for helping make this business possible in the first place. I will never forget the encouragement and love I’ve received through this journey.

A heartfelt note from Sunnyside K9 Grooming 🐾
This is a post I wish I didn’t have to write, but I need to be honest with you all.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve had a record number of no-shows, last-minute cancellations, and reschedules. I completely understand that life can throw curveballs — times are tough right now, and I’m feeling it too.

However, each missed appointment has a big impact. It leaves a space I often can’t fill in time, and for a small business like mine, too many of these can put our future at risk.

To keep Sunnyside K9 Grooming going strong, I now need to bring in a policy:

No shows: Full payment for the missed appointment will be required before booking your next slot.
Cancellations within 48 hours: Full payment will also be required.
This gives me a chance to offer the slot to another pup in need of pampering.
I’m truly sorry to have to do this, but it’s the only way to protect the business I’ve poured my heart into — and to make sure I can keep looking after your lovely dogs for years to come.
Thank you so much for understanding, and for continuing to support me through the good and the hard times

🌟 We had a very special (and very fluffy!) visitor at Sunnyside K9 Grooming today – meet Obi Wan the fabulous feline! 🐾✨
I absolutely love this boy – he’s such a gentle soul and incredibly brave while I work through those mats and brush out his loose shed. As long as the treat bribes keep coming (and yes, we’ve got his favourites stocked up!), he’s the purrfect little gentleman. 🐱💛

🐾 Sunnyside K9 Grooming Update 🐾

Just a little note to let you all know that Neville, Tom and I are off on a much-needed holiday this week! 🌴🐶☀️ We're taking a little break to recharge, so we won’t be able to respond to messages until we're back.

Also, a gentle reminder that I’m currently not able to take on any new clients—my schedule is completely full and I simply can't squeeze anyone else in at the moment.

I’m so grateful for all the kind recommendations you give—it truly means the world to me—but for now, I’ve got to focus on my existing lovely clients. 💛

🐾 🚨Pupdate from Sunnyside K9 Grooming 🚨🐾

Neville and I are feeling a little ruff at the moment — we’ve been working our paws/feet off trying to fit everyone in, and as you can see, it’s really taken a toll on Neville... he’s currently demanding longer naps and extra treats just to cope! 😂💤

I’m incredibly grateful for all of your support, but I just wanted to let you know that I’m currently overbooked and working late most days to keep up. Right now, there’s about a 6-week wait for grooms, and unfortunately I really can’t squeeze anyone in any earlier.

If I’ve sent you some appointment options, please know that’s truly the soonest I can get you in.

✨ If your furry friend needs a groom in July or August, and you haven’t already booked, please send me a message ASAP to arrange.

If you need something sooner, I’m happy to recommend a few wonderful local groomers who might be able to help out before I can.
