Mid-Antrim Animal Sanctuary Mid-Antrim Animal Sanctuary is a non-profit independent registered charity. We rely entirely upon the kindness and generosity of the people of Northern Ireland.

The sanctuary is run by a small staff, aided by dedicated team of volunteers. The Sanctuary cannot monitor this page daily, so if you're looking for any information regarding rehoming, please call or email us.

Myla says "That's the spot!" 🩷

Myla has gained a lot more confidence since arriving with us. In the space of two weeks time she no longer tries to run outside when someone enters the room. She is a vocal lady who loves a chit-chat. Myla would be the perfect lap cat to watch tv with after a long day, as she loves nothing more than sleeping on her sofa and getting all the attention she can. Can you be the one to offer this little lady love and affection? 🐾

Barbie lives up to her name. She is a stunning girl who loves to be doted upon. She can be shy at first, but if you slowly approach her she will open up! She is a lovely girl who would love a place to call her own. She loves to curl up on her radiator bed and watch the world go by. Barbie has pyometra but is currently on medication and is recovering well. She has only been kept indoors, so would need an indoor only home. She would be suited to any home with a quiet and sensible approach to cats, and any family willing to take the time to work on her confidence.

We are open Wednesdays and Saturdays from 1.30pm – 4.00pm.

The big man is always such a happy and excitable fella, full of bounces and play. It's been a task while he's recovering to keep him calm to allow his leg time to heal properly. We think he's doing well though. A huge thank you to the St. John's Ambulance Larne Cadet Unit for their super generous donation. The young people had a craft night where they made Easter themed decorations and donated treats and toys for the residents. (Also some human treats too). Residents Willow the Cat and Phoebe the Dog had good fun investigating the hampers. Thanks so much everyone! 🤗🐾

about the simple joys - leisurely walks, quiet cuddles, and naps with her favourite toys close by. Her big beautiful eyes say it all: she's full of love, just waiting to give it to someone special.

Henna would thrive in a calm, cat-free home with adults or older children (12+). With her calm and affectionate nature she would make the perfect companion for someone looking for a slower pace. She's not asking for much, just a cozy spot and a kind heart to share it with ❤️

Oscars Easter Appeal 🐾🐣🐇

Our boy Oscar is unfortunately a little down on his luck. He sadly hadn't been receiving any interest from potential adopters and to top it all off, he ruptured his cruciate ligament.😭💔

Oscar recently received the specialist surgery required to repair his leg but will now spend the next 6 weeks recovering in our Isolation Unit. Although, he would much prefer to be getting up to his usual mischief - running through the grass and playing with his favourite toys.🌱🧸

We will appeal for a home for Oscar again once he has recovered but in the meantime, lots of rest and specialist TLC from the team here will have to do.💜
