Huge thank you to Hannah from MSD who came to give a talk to our lovely farm clients last night.
Hannah spoke about how to get the most from vaccination in cattle - and gave us some invaluable insight into what we can use to promote our young stockโ€™s health moving forwards!
Big thank you as always to Jane who provided a fantastic dinner for everyone!

Can I move my animals? ๐Ÿ„๐Ÿ

The FAQ section on this Ruminant Health and Welfare page has some useful information about what animals can move and when.
https://ruminanthw.org.uk/bluetongue-virus/

Vaccines
๐Ÿ Vaccines are available for both cattle and sheep under general and special license
๐Ÿ„ Vaccines do not promise immunity, but reduce the viraemia, which aims to reduce the transmission and severity of the disease
๐Ÿ The vaccine is safe for use during pregnancy
๐Ÿ„ If you would like to talk further about the vaccine or order the vaccine, please contact us on 0116 234 0696

Our recent farmers meeting was very well attended, even though it was lambing and calving season. Hopefully, everyone is now up to speed on the responsible use of medicines and the farming sector will continue to reduce the use of antibiotics significantly. Many thanks to all of you who attended the meeting, and to Hannah the Norbrook vet who gave the talk and Sam the Norbrook rep. Big thank you to Jane for the food which was much appreciated as usual!
