So sorry to have to post this; unfortunately we are starting to hear of cases of kennel cough going around. We had instances at the farm 4 or 5 years ago and it became tricky!! Please, if your dog shows any symptoms whatsoever, let us know and keep them at home until their symptoms have passed. The more vigilant we can all be, the quicker this will pass. The recommendations seem to be to try and ease symptoms, honey to soothe throat etc. Vet visits are often unnecessary but do consult your vet if concerned. The best thing to do is lots of rest and hydration and limit passing it on to others.

We had to say goodbye to our darling Louis tonight. He was the first dog that we got together and went on the majority of the journey that and I have been on together up until now. I don’t really know what to write to sum up just what a brilliant little boy he was. He was so patient with us and so brilliant with the children. They say that dogs are like family and this really feels like we’ve lost a huge part of Team Baxter. We love you Louis. Thanks for everything darling boy. ‘People are born so they can learn how to live a good life. Like loving everybody all the time and being nice. Well, dogs already know how to do that, so they don’t have to stay as long’ 💔 I’m going to dedicate the rest of the week at the farm to Louis. He’s a big reason why I’m here anyway x
