The Bark Avenue Story
Bark Avenue came about thanks to my gorgeous, gentle giant of a Golden Retriever called Barney, who, like most retrievers, or indeed many dogs in general, is at his happiest when covered in mud and smelly, but not quite so happy when squashed into the family bath! So, having made numerous dog loving friends on our daily walks since Barney padded into our lives nearly 8 years

ago, many with similar stories, a seed was planted (with help from the lovely Nicki and Monty) that just kept on growing until, finally, I made the decision to combine my natural enthusiasm to help people with my love for these funny, loyal, loving canine friends who desperately want to please us and from whom we can learn many lessons. Barney isn't just our family pet, he is a much adored member of our family and to him, we are his world. Knowing how anxious I feel on the rare occasion we have to leave Barney with someone he doesn't know, it's important to me that Bark Avenue is a welcoming and friendly home environment where my personal, professional service will ensure that the individual needs of your dog are met, and where your dog feels safe and happy. With these elements in place a lasting bond of of trust can develop and Bark Avenue will have achieved what it was created to do. Barney and I look forward to welcoming all paws great and small, with their owners of course, to Bark Avenue.

We’re open!

Hello everyone, I hope you are all keeping well and enjoying the wonderful outdoors with your dogs.
I am now open again but I’m sure you can appreciate I will be very busy for some weeks to come. I have existing bookings I need to honour so will be gradually working through my rather long list of cancelled bookings to re schedule appointments for early June. I will be in touch with all of you over the next week to explain what’s happening here. Prior to your appointment if any member of your household is feeling unwell, please do not bring your dog to my home.
I would also like to say a huge thank you to all my wonderful customers for their continued loyalty and support enabling my little business to be such a big success.
I very much look forward to seeing everyone again very soon.
