My boy - my bestie - my peanut 💓🐾 (22:10 - Friday 28th November)

As many of you are aware 2 years ago peanut was diagnosed with a serious case of pancreatitis against all the odds he managed to pull though but unfortunately peanut was never really the same again in the past 2 years he’s had a few flareups, but for the most part we managed at home with no issues. A few weeks back peanut had another flare up but this time his body couldn’t fight it anymore . I lost my best friend, my business partner, my right hand man , the reason you all know me and why I do what I do .

I’m so blessed to have had the best 4.9 years with peanut and I’m so grateful to everyone involved in peanuts life from dog walkers , trainers , decoys , vets , clients and the endless amount of dogs he helped .

Thank you all so much for the love and support and peanuts Pet providers will be back better than ever soon 🐾

🐾🥜 PEANUT UPDATE 🥜🐾

Peanuts test results have come back showing that he has pancreatitis’s .

Normally this would mean the dog being admitted to the vets but due to peanut being a working dog they believe he’s best at home .

We have received tablets to take over the next week to help peanut fight this as best he can but unfortunately it’s all down to peanut now 👏🏻

Thank you SO much for the kind messages and support - it’s amazing to see how loved peanut is 💖

I will keep everyone updated but in the meantime I will not be taking on any new clients and I will get back to messages in a few days when I know more about if peanut is responding well or not to treatment.

Hi all ,

Unfortunately Peanut has had a turn for the worse in his health and he isn’t doing great . We are waiting on test results and I’m doing my best to keep as happy and comfortable in the meantime.

As much as I’m trying to not let it effect work with how quickly he has and is deteriorating some sessions may need to be moved or cancelled with short notice .

I’m sorry for the inconvenience and that I can’t give more information at this time .

Please keep peanut in your thoughts and prays but I will keep you all updated as I know more .

So the XL bully legislation has just been released to the public .

Below you will find the government’s definition of an XL bully breed. If you own a XL or any bully breed please check the website here ( https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/official-definition-of-an-xl-bully-dog) to see if your dog fits the legislation requirements .

If your dog DOES fit the legislation PLEASE PLEASE make sure you do the following -

Muzzle train your dog - as your dog will need to be muzzled at ALL times in public
(Please make sure the muzzle is correctly fitted and fit for purpose - any good trainer should be able to help with this )

Make sure your dog has great general obedience and isn’t dog or human reactive and can walk nicely on a lead ( please see a trainer if you are struggling with this )

Make sure you have insured your dog via the Dogs trust ( this is for public liability not your pets health - if your dog doesn’t have this insurance it puts them at more risk of getting seized)

Finally make sure you must apply for a Certificate of Exemption.
You will have until 31 January 2024 to apply for this exemption.
Applications will be subject to a £92.40 application fee, to cover administration costs.

CALLING ALL BALANCED TRAINERS AND ANYONE STANDING WITH ECOLLARS.

penrith is taking a stand against parliament members refusing to look at the full science and facts regarding ECOLLARS.

Social medial is being washed with Anti Ecollar propaganda without the full truth . This is a HUGE opportunity to make a change to the ridiculous Ecollar ban that’s due to happen next summer.

Remember if you don’t use an ecollar but you use a slip lead , a prong , a grott or balanced training this is still your fight too - if this ban goes through it won’t be long before these tools are banned too!!

Anyone who has trained with me knows I go on and on about doing environmentals with your dog everywhere and anywhere.

Yesterday peanut and I along with two clients had an environmental at a shooting range/clay shoot.

One of my clients will soon be moving to the countryside in wales so gun exposure was super important and my other client had taken up shooting and wants to be able to take there dog with them without barking or being stressed out.
Myself and peanut just used it as exposure to something different.

I’m not saying you need to go to this extent but get your dog out to new place !! Don’t just stick to your local walk around the block or the field down the road.

Anyone who has met peanut knows he’s VERY well trained but he’s also extremely happy and has a huge amount of freedom (BECAUSE HES TRAINED WELL)

A good trainer should have well trained dog that are happy and live a life of freedom because they are well trained not problems ignored because “it makes the dog”

Post like this are becoming more and more common and it’s stupid to say only force free trainers care about dogs !!
