Izzy and I have had a busy November visiting some lovely local Care homes. We’re looking forward to our festive visits to end this year and maybe sing some Christmas Carols to spread some cheer. 😊

Izzy and I visited a wonderful care setting today. There was one resident who asked to be woken up if he was asleep so he didn’t miss Izzys visit. What makes this a special request is that this resident is blind and the sensory satisfaction he had from stroking and holding Izzy made his day. 🥲 It’s so heartwarming! I’m glad he wasn’t able to see the happy tear rolling down my cheek. 🙃😂

Izzy Fireworks Update!
Over the last three nights we’ve had local fireworks going off randomly throughout the evenings.
Izzy has barked at the louder sounds. She wasn’t happy being shut in her crate (we tried to see if she felt safer being in her bed) and felt far more comfortable staying with her humans for company.
Last year Izzy shook and whimpered in fear all night! She curled up in a ball and hid under blankets.
This year she was happy to eat her doggy peanut lick board and lay dozing with her stomach out, which tells me she felt more at ease.
I think with continued desensitisation over the next year I’m hoping to see another step of improvement next bonfire night.

Happy pup, happy human! 🐶😊

Izzy and I visited CWM Catref Care Home this afternoon. We received such a warm welcome and heard lots of wonderful stories of past and present pets from the residents. The smiles and happiness Izzy spreads is truly special. 🥰🐶

Izzy and I had a wonderful morning visiting Parc Wern Care Home. There were lots of dog fond residents who enjoyed giving Izzy love and attention. She was in her element! 🐶🥰
Can’t wait for our next visit 😄
