Today was the day that Dino got to put his dancing shoes back on.

After another long rehab stint after a check ligament injury it was finally time to dance down a centre line again. And I was so thrilled with his performance. Despite a little bit of tension at the beginning of the test he really did amazingly with hopefully more to come in the new year.

Huge thank you’s have to be given to everyone who has supported this horse and given him this chance to be back between the boards again.

His owner Karen for sticking with it and when retirement was on the cards giving him another chance and believing in my slow and steady approach to his rehab.

My fiancé who helps and supports me so much. Making today possible by helping me do the yard before and after the show as well as coming with me and being top groom. Best fiancé award ever definitely goes to him!

After a little break from competing to concentrate on training for Pixie. She came back with a bang today. Gaining two wins

I’ve previously struggled with her confidence in between the boards and that has been a focus of ours in our training and I really felt it paid off today. She felt so much more with me than I’ve felt before competing and I felt we both really enjoyed our day out together.

Hoping this is the start of many more great days away from home for her and I again.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of taking Helene Alunni’s beautiful Lusitano Stallion De Zarco out to a show.

It was his first outing and he definitely found the experience a little overwhelming to start, but he tried super hard and listened really well. Despite a little loss of power and collection due to his inner tension we still managed a very respectable 2nd place and just 0.5% behind the winner in the Advanced Class.

Pixie competing in her first Adv Med.

After a mini competing hiatus it was wonderful to be back between the white boards with her again today.

She was a little tense having not been out for a while. But we had so many personal wins today that we were coming home beaming before even seeing the results.

She won her section and came 2nd in the class overall. Thrilled at her first attempt at this level. Lots of polishing to do and a few more positive outings like this one will boost her confidence no end.

Excited about 2025 for her!

We are off to Nationals!!! 🥳🥳🥳🥳🦄🦄🦄🦄🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳

I couldn’t be prouder of the test Summer produced today. Everything we have been working on recently all clicked into place at exactly the right time and she gave me the best test she’s ever done, right when we needed it most!

A huge thank you to everyone who helps us achieve these results.

First and foremost her owners Bob and Nicky Greenshields who have put their trust in me to produce Summer.

The team at home .eq who had everything in hand back at the yard ensuring I could fully focus on my job.

Huge congratulations to .eq who finished his apprenticeship with a distinction.

Ben has worked incredibly hard and really impressed the examiners in all his exams. So his grade of distinction is very well deserved indeed.
