Amazing few days away at the The Society of Master Saddlers Bridle Fitting Course at Moulton College! 🐴✨

A busy few days packed with learning, training and plenty of laughs, thanks to some truly legendary — and very entertaining — lecturers. So much knowledge, information and help shared throughout the course made it both incredibly informative and great fun.

Even better was meeting so many lovely, passionate people who share the same love for horses and equine welfare. ❤️

Feeling very lucky to have had such a fantastic few days and come away with so much more knowledge and inspiration! 🐎

Back to Cumbria tomorrow, fingers crossed the train gods are on my side 🤞🏻 🚂

Before anyone asks, NO i do not do upholstery, but after being plied with several wines i got talked in to this repair by a certain local pub landlord!

One LandRover Defender seat repaired in a day, 6 hours to make the repair section and hand stitch it in. Another 2 hours to rebuild the foam and re- apply all the staples.

Finished at 9pm delivered back to the pub by 9:10pm 🤣

Striding Edge Belt in Australian Nut being delivered to a local via the pub later 👋 no filter needed for this beautiful rich colour 😍

a slightly different design then usual as sadly my J&E Sedgwick hide was a particularly short hide this time so we put some decorative splices in there.

1 minute of stitching harness box loops….. i managed to stitch two in a minute then it took several minutes for the next 🤦🏼‍♀️

Dark Havana panel hide body, veg tan bottom base, chocolate handles with caramel contrast stitching, completely hand stitched 🧵

Very very pleased with the zip overlay which sits perfectly in place, zips are not my favourite thing as we know but this worked spot on 😁

Yesterday i gave a talk to the lovely ladies of Burton in kendal WI, it was a wonderful evening with lots of questions and interactions.

Sadly the hot weather has finally defeated me and I’m currently hiding in a dark room with a fan. the heat makes me physically unwell so i will be taking a few days away from any type of work, including corresponding, until it cools down and my brain@and body are able to function properly again. I apologise for this but i need to put myself first for a few days.

I still have no idea what it is though except its for part of the harness project 🫣🤣 anyone got any ideas?
