Busy busy caring for our small number of beautiful animals. This site may be now closed to the public due to lack of funds, but our Maldon Zoo site on the scenic Promenade is open everyday as normal.

Due to getting very little to no funds everyday, this had led to us having to announce closure to the public.

With the animals still on site, we really would be so grateful for some support with feeds and bedding.

Can you help with any of the following;

The Dengie Animal Safe Haven CIC

Due to rising costs across the board with running The Dengie Animal Safe Haven CIC, lack of grants and funding available we have had to make the difficult decision to permanently close with immediate effect.

We would like to reassure all of our customers that the animals will remain cared for in the interim supported by Maldon Promenade Zoo and our landlord has kindly agreed to waive any rent and past rent that has been due.

We will no longer be open to the public to visit.

Visiting our site to see our beautiful animals - entry is just £3.95 per person.
We also offer an additional sheep walking experience at £2.50 per person. Not only will our amazing sheep make it an exciting experience for you all, you will also be contributing greatly to their feeds and bedding costs.

Donating feed and bedding supplies, this can either be delivered personally just by our entrance or ordered online.

Many of the animals to see at our Animal Safe Haven in Althorne. Located on the same grounds as On The Latch.💖🐹🐰🐔🦆🪿🐑🐐🐴💖

It is just £3.95 per person to enter our petting site, with a family four entry at £12.
These funds help to buy everyone’s feed and bedding each week.

We have the sheep walking available that will need to be booked in advance, you may be able to book as you arrive however no guarantee.🐑🐑 ❤️
Sheep walking is an additional £2.50 per person leading the sheep. You won’t see this available anywhere else as cheap as this! 🐑🐑❤️

Interested in walking a sheep? To book you can simply message us on here, messages will be responded either the start of the day or at the end due to being busy seeing to the animals.❤️
