I just thought I would show you a photo of the pattern a dogs legs take when grabbing a ball from
a ball thrower

I talk about them in my classes and how they can cause injuries

Look at the pattern of the skid....you can see two straight lines at the front where the dogs front legs skidded but the pattern of the back legs is so splayed out as the dogs stops itself to catch the ball.....this can cause major issues to muscle, tissue and even tendon damage which can take months to heal and then build up of scar tissue means the area will become weak and prone to damage

If you must throw a ball for your dog at least throw it by hand and even better roll it so it’s not going as far and as fast as a ball thrower

Helping a client to rehome a 3 year old male, neutered dachshund called Cookie.

I've been walking him for 9 months now and he is not only gorgeous to look at but also lovely to walk. He is great with other dogs and can be let off lead once he knows and trusts you. He loves running around with his friends. He can be vocal if you stand around too long talking though lol!

He is being rehomed due to personal circumstances.

⚠️Snow Update⚠️

As more snow has fallen overnight and road conditions remain dangerous, I have taken the difficult decision today to only prioritise dogs left on their own with no access to outside areas for toilet breaks, subject to me being able to get to them safely.

I am very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, safety of the dogs will always come first.

If you are at home and do not need me to consider trying to walk your dog today, please let me know as soon as possible this morning.

Following the snow yesterday and temperatures being -5, all walks today will be cancelled.

If you have managed to get into work today and need me to do a drop in visit to let them out for a wee, please let me know asap and I will try my best to get there on foot.

The weather and road conditions will be continually monitored throughout the day due to snow and ice warnings.

Cancelling walks is a last resort as this impacts you & me, however the safety of your dogs and myself will always come first and I will not be driving if it is unsafe to do so.

***OWNER has now contacted us and is going to collect this p.m. Advice given re condtion of coat and vets advice he would be struggling to urinate with the matting of fur. We were out on another emergency at the vets when this dog was very kindly brought into safety by a kind member of the public, so we were able to take into our care***

DOG FOUND THIS A.M OUTSIDE ALDI KIDSGROVE ST7 AREA

Microchipped but unable to contact the owners currently.
