Report on 2025 season,

Storm Eowyn reeped havoc at the club before we even opened so it was a lot of extra work for team Lyon but as per they got through it, moles have been a big problem this season, we have tried various deterrents so hopefully we will get on top of it in time,

For the first time in a long time we did not have to change or alter the race calendar, we lost one day to the weather not for rain for a change but for soaring temperatures in July,

As usual the training of pups is a big thing at the club and our trials team do an excellent job of bringing them through the various stages of learning, to endorse this I believe we passed around a dozen pups this season, I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, Cooper

Raiya again thanks to the trials team for their guidance,

Our champs were once again a great success with 103 entries, the group sponsors were completed in record time, around two weeks and it was done, proving yet again the calibre of our members by helping out, invaluable, as for the racing I think we only had Dolly and Broxi in the winners enclosure,

Our charity day was a great success again, once again our members dug in and got the job done raising a whopping £1,080,

Our dogs had success on the road including Nico receiving his National jacket in May and winning the HW vets at the North West champs,

We saw the retirement of Jackie and Dave with Bronn and Niko, enjoy,

Our night out is fast approaching and we have a good number already booked,

So this about sums up our season, as far as I am concerned as secretary the club is in good hands and I'm sure like me you are already looking forward to next season,

Ps, if I've made any mistakes just remember what Gillian always says, you just can't get the staff 😅

Hi folks,

A wee report from the east Ayrshire classic today, firstly well done to the Thistle members who entered I can confidently say we had the biggest entry from a visiting club so we'll done all,

Now me and programmes don't go together so I have to rely on my trusted sidekick for the information, all our dogs did us proud and many made their finals, Aquila Harris and Patch won their Cons finals with,
Woody
Sola
Cooper
Quin and Sid all winning their finals so I think we did not too bad, the attached photo shows our winners minus Quin who had to shoot away early,

Well done all

Hi folks,

Well it was our last day of the season today and what a day it was, trials, some races and off course our novice trophy, more of that in a mo 😃

The lentil soup was fair braw😃 I have to say though the break was brilliant, all gathered waiting on Hugh coming down to join us, I thought he was going to join in singing happy birthday then he saw the banners with his face on them and realised it was for him, happy birthday Hugh,

The novice trophy was brilliant it was great to see the happiness on the owners faces, the traditional presentations were well received and suitable gifts were presented to our raffle and cake Queen Kay, Team Lyon also received a token of our gratitude, richly deserved, well done Maryam and Emmet for keeping the gifts a surprise, still don't know how Maryam managed to keep it a secret😃

So no club next week but good luck to all our members taking part in the east Ayrshire open,

Here are the results of the novice, well done everyone,

L/W
1 Willow
2 Paddy
3 Raiya

H/W
1 Elvis
2 Bella
3 Sunny
4 Jujubee

As usual thanks to our photographers, no apologies for doublers,

The big debate is open, soup this Sunday,

Blended or unblended that is the question,

30/09/2025

Hi folks,

This Sunday is our last meeting of the season when we will have the Novice Trophy and other races for those who don't meet the criteria for the novice trophy,

The novice trophy is for dogs who have never won anything, consolation finals don't count, if you have won any of the points fixtures you don't qualify, this is for total novices, if you are unsure if your dog meets the criteria just ask, remember it's historical so if you won something last year you are out,

Personally I think it's one of the best competitions we have, great to see wee happy dogs and owners,

It would be great to see a good attendance on Sunday to offer our support,
