Scottish Thistle Pedigree Whippet Racing Club Our Club meets weekly (during the season April - October every Sunday from 12 noon - Inch Farm Ki

Whippets race every SundayTrials for any dog are run in between the racing and after racing.We also train young puppies from 6 months upwards to get them used to the lure and by the time they are a year old they are more than ready to race. We hold a Scottish derby each year where our friends from down South come up to Scotland with their Super racing dogs and all compete together.

Hi folks,

What a smashing day at the club today, conditions were ideal, the infestation of puppies continued today brilliant to see and every one of them full of fun and carry on,

The trials team did a sterling job again and it's always worth a mention for the work they do,

Today we ran out 3rd points meeting over 170 yards and once again we had some great races, next Sunday will be our 4th points meeting over 150 yards,

Attached are some photos from the usual suspects and we thank them for them,

We were represented by team Maybole and team Dickson, as usual the dogs never let us down, the star of the show was Phoenix who ran second in the 28lb final, some effort for the first trip away and on such a big stage,

Is that the reflection of Pam's t shirt or was it really hot down south 😊

Hi folks

What a lovely day at the club today, weather, food and even racing, today it seemed like we were overrun with delinquent puppies 😊 what a joy to see the wee ones taking it all in, we also had a new puppy join us today, Iris enjoyed her wee run in the track,

The racing was not as busy as usual but still some good racing on show,

Next Sunday will be our 3rd points meeting over 170 yards,

Hi folks,

Well weather wise today it was a bit damp but the hardy whippeteers got through it with the help of some good grub,

The pups are schooling well, Lady seems to know what it is all about, Echo has come on leaps and bounds from her first look, Ford strut his stuff and our newcomer Blue seems to be a quick learner, big shout out again to our trials team for bringing these pups on and giving them the right grounding,

Today was our second points meeting over 160 yards, this is when it gets interesting when the handicap kicks in, some great races again, thanks to our photographer for the photos,

Next week sees round two of our scratch league over 160 yards, good luck to our dogs who will be travelling to Worcester next weekend to take part in the Nationals,

Finally thanks again to all those who have handed in their sponsorship so far,
