TREIBBALL
6 week foundation course starting 17th Septmeber
Treibbal is an amazing positive teamwork game for you and your dog. Combining fun with control. It originates from Germany and can be for fun with the option of competions earning achievements and certificates along the way
Treibball means Ball Driving and is a sport of distance skill and teamwork. Your dog will get great exercise and play an engaging game with you
Treibball mimics herding in that dogs must drive their targets into the goal within a given length of time. The difference is that the targets are exercise balls, not sheep, cattle, and other livestock. So, if you do not have a large yard or a lot of room to train, no worries. You can still play this fun sport.
In the main game, dogs have to push eight balls into the goal area, one by one. They must closely follow commands given by their handlers who have to stay within the goal area. There are many fun little games played to build up to this.
Although treibball was developed for herding dogs, all breeds and sizes can train, play, and compete. Even Chihuahuas and other tiny dogs can get the lightweight herding balls moving in the right direction with a bop from their nose.
This is an amazing fun and bonding game that provides plenty of stimulation for ALL dogs.
We are starting a new 6 week introduction courses into Treilball. This will teach you all the foundation and you will receive a certificate on completion along with the opportunity to join our regular training groups.
