🐍 VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY ALERT! 🦎

Love reptiles and creepy crawlies? We are on the hunt for a fantastic volunteer to join our scaly squad!

🔹 16+ years old
🔹 Experience with reptiles/inverts OR a genuine enthusiasm to learn
🔹 Happy to handle live insects (someone's got to feed the gang!)
🔹 Trustworthy with a friendly attitude

🌟Let's be honest - it's not all fun and games!🌟You'll be getting stuck into:

• Daily feeding and watering routines for reptiles AND tarantulas
• Cleaning out enclosures and keeping habitats pristine
• Bagging up substrates and general shop tidying
• Learning proper animal care through hands-on experience

‼️‼️‼️⚠️ HEAT WAVE INCOMING⚠️‼️‼️‼️

Guys this weekend is forecast to be 30c+
Axolotls really don’t do well in the heat & can die with high temps.
Please be prepared to keep your tanks and tubs cool!

Float bottles of frozen primed water on the surface of tanks/ deep tubs

Use aquarium fans or chillers

Try placing dog cooling Mats under tubs

Keep windows & curtains closed to reduce heat

Nice cold water change to lower temps!

Our last three Leucistic juvenile axolotls have just been delivered to Japanese Water Gardens (Nottingham)! Feel free to pop in and talk to the staff there who are very knowledgeable on all things aquatic.
