Just wanted to shed some light on how much things cost, well just one thing that you maybe wouldn’t realise or think about.

Scissor/blade sharpening & clipper servicing

I got this little lot back from sharpening/servicing today from a brilliant chap who has looked after my tools for a few years now, who specialises in high end premium equipment and who I trust.

My blades and scissors need sharpening every 6 months & my clippers serviced once a year.
So for 7 blades, 3 scissors, clipper service + postage it totals at £122!
I have another full set of blades + other scissors and spare clippers that I use for times like this so I can still work, eventually these get sharpened/serviced too)

This is just ONE of the many reasons why my prices are what they are and why I have to have a small increase every year. Unfortunately everything goes up! minimum wage, bills, equipment, products (I will only use the best) insurance and on top of that 6 monthly air con/heating servicing, training, experience, sports massages to keep me going😅 a big one CLEANING! I spend nearly as much time cleaning than grooming and it’s so important! The list goes on..

I need to earn a living.

To all clients

I’d like to inform you of the annual price increase that will take effect from the 1st April. A notice is now up in the salon to give clients a chance to see it before then.

•Nail Clipping £10 (included in full grooms)

•Ear Plucking £5. This service is only offered if your dog is in discomfort due to a build up of wax & hair blocking the ear canal from air flow, this takes an extra 10 minutes. (Will be discussed with you first)

•Ultrasonic Teeth Cleaning
30 minute initial sessions - £34
15 minute maintenance sessions - £24 (£20 with a groom)

If you would like to know in advance how much your dogs grooms will be from 1st April please pop me a message.

Rooster - 7 months old - Norfolk Terrier🧡

Full body hand strip!

This was Rooster’s first visit to the groomers, he was well ready for a groom he had so much coat. The plan was to do a puppy groom and see what else he allows me to do. He was so happy and settled with the bath and dryer we decided to carry on and get some of his coat off. What a little super star and full of character🥰

Obviously I forgot the before photo, but remembered after his bath & blow dry!

The pick me up I needed today attending education day! I’ve had a brilliant day, forever learning and it’s so nice to finally meet ☺️ I love what I do but recently I’ve felt really deflated, dog grooming is so tough mentally and physically it’s so easy to ‘burn out’ but today has taught me we all have those times in our careers where we need to take a step back, revaluate and go again🙌

Thank you to all my lovely clients old and new for another fantastic year. Thank you for choosing me to make your dogs look lovely and the continued support. If it wasn’t for you all I wouldn’t be doing this job so I really appreciate it more than you’ll ever know❤️

I will be back in the salon on Monday and Tuesday next week so any messages received will be replied to then.
