🌀 Did you know? 🌀

Cats with blue eyes often lack melanin, the pigment responsible for eye and fur color! This is why many white cats have striking blue eyes. 🐾💙

Fun fact: All kittens are born with blue eyes, but their true eye color develops as they grow! Some retain their baby blues, while others shift to green, amber, or gold.

Got a blue-eyed beauty at home? Drop a pic in the comments! 📸✨

Cat Fact of today…. A common issue with Ragdoll cats is hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), a genetic heart disease that can cause thickening of the heart muscle, leading to heart failure. Ragdolls are particularly prone to this condition due to a genetic mutation found in some bloodlines. Responsible breeders often test for this mutation to reduce the risk in kittens.

& here are some Other common health concerns in Ragdolls include:
• Bladder and urinary tract issues (e.g., bladder stones or urinary tract infections)
• Gastrointestinal sensitivities (they can have sensitive stomachs)
• Obesity (due to their laid-back nature and tendency to be less active)
• Dental problems (prone to plaque buildup and gum disease)

Regular vet check-ups, a balanced diet, and maintaining an active lifestyle can help keep a Ragdoll cat healthy.
