Life lately at Hannah’s Hounds Training🐾✨

It’s been a whirlwind behind the scenes these past few weeks:

Welcomed Frida to the crew 🐶

Vincent arrived for his board and train 💛

Connor had a birthday 🎉

Stocked up the dog room with way too many new beds (but can you ever have too many?) 🛏️

Shadow submitted an official HR complaint… requesting a snack rise 🍪

And somehow… we even managed a coffee out without the dogs. What a miracle! ☕

Swipe to see the cheeky little surprise at the end 😏

Vincent 💛

This gorgeous four-month-old Hungarian Vizsla has come to stay with me for the week while we work on two big puppy topics: crate training and those very enthusiastic teeth 🦈

His owners have been incredibly proactive and are lovely members. Things haven’t escalated, but they’ve recognised that downtime is becoming tricky, mouthing is ramping up, and they’re struggling to spend any time apart from him without stress. So rather than waiting for it to become a bigger issue, they’ve chosen to put foundations in place now 👏

Since Saturday, Vincent has been getting into a clear uptime/downtime structure - learning that rest is part of the day, not something that happens after chaos. We’re building positive crate experiences and working on overnight consistency too.

I’ve been setting my alarm and getting up before he would naturally wake and shout for the toilet. The goal?
He learns to settle and chill in the crate and we look to increase the time that he can be left without needing the toilet overnight. This is increasing every night! Honestly… he’s smashing it.

He’s thoughtful, bright, and already starting to understand that calm pays.

I’m so proud of how he’s adapting and I can’t wait to see how far we can get by Saturday 💫

Thinking about a Board & Train? 🐾

My Board & Train programmes are designed to give dogs the time, structure and consistency they need to make real progress - whether that’s confidence building, aggression, resource guarding, recall or general life skills.

Your dog lives with me, trains with me, and becomes part of my daily routine - which means we can work on behaviour in real-life scenarios, not just staged sessions. It’s immersive, practical, and tailored to the individual dog in front of me.

This option is ideal for:
• Owners who feel stuck
• Dogs who need a solid reset or foundations
• Busy households who need a helping hand to get things moving
• Behaviour cases that benefit from consistent handling

📅 Limited availability
My earliest Board & Train dates are currently June this year, and spaces are always limited due to the hands-on nature of the programme.

If you’re considering one, please get in touch sooner rather than later to chat about whether it’s the right fit for you and your dog.

One of my most recent Board & Trains is heading back to London tomorrow… and what a journey it’s been.

When Billy first arrived, he was really struggling with resource guarding - items, food, anything he felt had value. He needed to be muzzle trained for everyone’s safety, and a lot of our early work centred around helping him feel more secure and less threatened around resources, both with humans and other dogs.

Fast forward to now… and this boy is happily shoving his face into what he believes is a snack basket 😅

The difference isn’t just in behaviour - it’s in his outlook.

He’s more optimistic.
More relaxed.
More thoughtful around dogs and people when food or items are involved.

Guarding isn’t about “dominance” - it’s about emotion. And when we change how a dog feels, the behaviour follows. Billy has worked incredibly hard at learning that good things don’t disappear, and that humans and dogs nearby don’t mean loss.

Tomorrow will be a very early start as I drive him back down to London 🚗 but I’m really looking forward to seeing how his owners get on over the coming weeks and months. The real magic always happens when the learning transfers home.
