Hello Everyone!
Just a polite reminder that I am on Maternity Leave and would greatly appreciate the understanding and patience at this time as I prepare for the arrival of our baby🩵.

Unfortunately we still have no sign of him!
I am trying to relax/ allow myself to be present in this very exciting time but I am still receiving a high volume of messages and phone calls on the daily in regards to bookings / if and when I am returning.
At this time I cannot provide a date or time frame of my return as it is all very new to me and our plan of action is to go with the flow and figure out what will fit for us as a family.

Please know that if I have any updates or information at all at any point that I shall reach out and provide a post on all social platforms.

🔔Salon Closure🔔

I have had to make the difficult decision of closing the salon today due to extreme weather conditions. It is just not worth the risk to travel for myself or any of my clients to potentially put themselves in danger for the sake of a groom.

All today’s clients have been notified & will be contacted further today in efforts to have them rescheduled where possible.
I hope to see you all very soon.

Hey everyone! I hope you all had an amazing 2024 Christmas 🎄.
I have been meaning to write this message for weeks but much like the rest of this year it hasn’t worked out quite as planned✌🏽

I would like to thank each and every single one of you from the very bottom of my heart for all of the support throughout the whole of this year and especially through those few personal and very hard spells.
I cannot begin to explain my appreciation for the understanding and kindness that you all have given me.
Going forward: now that I am 25 weeks pregnant I am looking forward to having a more positive and peaceful time for my remaining months at work.

Many of you are aware I have found it harder to keep up with the high volume of dogs aswell as long hours that I normally do. Due to this I have had my mum come in to help out. However going forward into the new year I will be changing my hours to 9-3 and taking things a bit easier (this also includes committing to any late shifts).
My maternity leave as of yet is planned to commence the week of the 10th of March and all appointments upto to this point I can put in via my end on the booking system at request.📖

So with all that said I would like to wish you all a very Happy New Year.
Here is to many special and positive times for 2025.🎉

As few of you already know these last couple months have been extremely hard for me on a personal note as well as physically. Recent events have caused me to reschedule and even cancel which hasn’t been an easy decision on my part.
Most of you are regular enough to know how hard I work and the long hours that fill up the greater part of my week.
I have been forced to face the fact that I may have been over working myself to keep up with the demand and pressure to fit dogs in.
At this time I am having to put my health first and stand by my limited hours, currently I’m booked out to the start of November which is just unimaginable to me, I couldn’t be more grateful to have you all as-well as the support you have given me during this exceptionally tough time.
But with this means I will not be able to fit any dogs in unless there is a cancellation or no show that has the required time for your dogs groom.
This also means I am having to close my diary to all new clientele for 2024 and potentially further into 2025.
I just wanted to thank you all for your patience and respect of my privacy at this time.
I’m not normally one for sharing much but I have been feeling as though I owe you all a bit more insight to how things have been going especially with the page being so quiet at late.
Once again I thank you and appreciate everyone who has understood and continued to stick by The Groom Garden.
Onto more smooth and positive times🤞🏽.

Dude’s Pawrents had messaged to let me know about his dislikes during the grooming process just to forewarn me.
Even mentioned the little things such as not being a fan of having his nails cut.
As a groomer I cannot stress how important it is for an owner to do this & how much I appreciate it no matter how small you may think the detail is.
Too many times I have been in a situation where the owner didn’t feel the need/ was too embarrassed or didn’t think to mention any details of a similar nature that previous groomers have told them after they have groomed their dog. As a result of that I have been either bitten or had close calls.
Please could I stress that sharing this info with a groomer is not at all embarrassing but rather vital for not only the groomers safety but your dogs too.
If a dog lunges or attempts to bite whilst a groomer has scissors at hand it could result in the dog being injured (at no fault of our own but the owners as the neglected to make us aware)

So just a tip to always give as much detail about your dog post groom if they are going to a new groomers so they have the best experience possible ☺️

Note: Dude did absolutely amazing & despite myself being warned, he was actually on his best behaviour.
