We have just expanded the area we cover for volunteer puppy socialisers! This fantastic and rewarding role is great for a variety of people from young professionals to those who have retired.

By caring for one of our puppies, you'll be supporting them throughout their journey to becoming an assistance dog for a physically disabled person, helping an autistic child navigate life or helping multiple people in a community setting.

Not only will you help support people, you'll also have the ability to join a larger social community of Dogs for Good volunteers and staff and be invited to events like our pop-up cafes and engagement days.

Would you be willing to provide a loving home for one of our adorable pups? We're currently seeking volunteers who can nurture our puppies through their early development and adolescence, giving them the foundations for learning before they begin their training to for someone.

Our volunteers come from all walks of life, from retirees to families and students studying animal behaviour. You'll receive lots of support from our staff and other volunteer colleagues and you'll be kept updated on how your dog is progressing as they pass through their training and beyond.

So for those of you who are unaware, we are taking some time away to work full time for Dogs for Good for the next year. It’s an awesome charity who literally change lives through the power of dogs, but it couldn’t do the work it does without a strong volunteer base. As Good As Gold isn’t entirely shutting its doors and we are hoping to run some socials / recall classes etc again once the weather warms up, but we may not be quite as quick to reply as in the past 🐾🥰🐾

Apologies for our quietness on social media for a while, it’s been a really tough few weeks, both emotionally and physically in this crazy British summer! We haven’t been slacking though - still out and about when the weather permitted and today had the absolute joy of playing with this young man - recall, loose lead walking and ignoring cars were all on the agenda and he rocked it! His momma says he’s been asleep ever since, but he’s such a cool dude - all about easy wins in adolescence 🐾😊🐾

5:56 and we are out having our last walk for the next 48hrs. Currently a delicious 15 degrees. Stay safe, keep windows and blinds closed (it’s going to be much hotter out than in), if you have a loft hatch, open it, damp towels on the floor for your dogs and try and keep everyone safe and cool. 🐾😎🥵😎🐾
