📣📣 LAST CALL FOR JUNE EXAM📣📣

City and Guild Level 3 theory exams are held twice yearly in June and November for the whole of the UK.

If you have been thinking about doing your Level 3 and want to sit the theory exam in June - NOW IS THE TIME!!!!!!

ALL STUDENTS WISHING TO SIT THE THEORY EXAM IN JUNE MUST BE REGISTERED WITH US BY APRIL 22ND!!!!

You do not need to have completed all of your practical assessments before this date - this is for the WRITTEN THEORY EXAM.

You will need to already hold your Level 2 qualification to start the Level 3 course - please speak to us about the combined L2 & L3 courses we have available.

Crufts 2025

💚💚 CRUFTS 2025 💚💚

Finally back to normal after the hectic chaos that is Crufts!

Once again had a fab time with four dogs qualified this year.
Classes were huge, and as always the quality of dogs from both the UK and overseas was incredibly high. Always a pleasure to be competing against the best dogs in the world on the green carpet!

No placings for the English Springers, Russell and Mabel, this year, but their behaviour was foot perfect, which for anyone who knows Russell in particular is a miracle in itself!

No placing for Hugo in a strong Post Graduate class, however Arnie achieved a 4th in his quality Puppy Dog class, congratulations to his owner Kasia!

We are now back in the salon and gradually working our way through all the calls and messages - please be patient, we will get to you.

Due to being at crufts we will be closed until 11th March,

We’re super excited to be showing at crufts again this year and we can not wait to share all the excitement with you!

Today is national dog walking day!

It’s important to walk your dog, dogs can become overweight and this could cause health problems, taking them regularly for walks will help prevent this!

Walking your dog will make them tired, and tired dogs tend to behave better!

You could use walking as a training opportunity, this could be socialising your dog with others, or teaching commands such as heel, sit, stay!

GUESS THE BREED

For those who guessed papillon in our recent post, You are correct!!

Some Papillon facts:

The Papillon name translates from “butterfly” in French, which certainly suits this breeds ears very well!

The Papillon originated in Spain but was developed in France, and was made popular by Henry III when the Papillon was declared as the official dog of the royal court during his reign!

Grooming Notes:

Papillons have a combination/silky coat

We recommend a Papillon to be on a 8-10 week schedule, for a tidy trim, removal of undercoat, and nail & ear care
